The fact that the child's mother was also telling her to step aside etc will aid the guides kindness towards the child. Unfortunately, today many parents use there child's disabilities to warrant bad behaviour, and alot of parents want the diagnosis of things like Ausism and ADHD excuse lazy parenting. While I also know some children (and adults) who have mental disabilities and/or on the spectrum do have behavioural problems you can still see the parents who try and control this vs those who do not. My friend has an adult child with special needs, and she still tells him off, takes his electronics etc off him when he's been naughty like any child. She said you still have to parent a child, teach them right from wrong and acceptable behaviour and this woman has done that to her child here. What a great child and a great mum.

When I finally managed to get him into my care (through the court system due to his mothers abuse of him) he was a handful and I had to be firm with him, tell him off when he was naughty etc. I had friends and family tell me they thought I was being too hard on him so I would ask them if they wanted to look after him, the answer was invariably no as they could see how tough it was. I would still try to treat him as normal as possible though and not let him play on his disabilities.

If her mum had taught her great manners, she would never have harassed the guards. While on the surface, this looks like a touching moment, at the root of it is the entitlement of the mother.
@wendysing97415 ай бұрын
@Quakeboy02 Unlike most visitors who are entitled and disrespectful, she did ask the horseguard for permission to touch the horse. He said yes. In one clip, he reassured her mum that it was ok for her touching the horse as he would be mindful of the horse's behaviour. Most of the horses are very calm when dealing with disabled adults or kids, maybe because they do not harass the horses. The little girl with disabilities did not understand that she couldn't touch the gatesman as obviously, she might not understand why he wasn't moving much. When her mum told her that she couldn't touch him, she asked why and obeyed. Her mum also told her to move away and let others take photos and she obeyed. If you've watched all the clips of the video, you will know that her mum was very mindful of her daughter's manners as far as her disabilities would allow her. There has been lots of very entitled and disrespectful parents and kids who actually harass the guards.

These lads are cavalrymen. Now in modern day they are in tanks etc. this baby and her very respectful and intelligent mother, reinforced the reason why they risk their lives when called to do so. ! Truly wonderful ! X🖖🫡

If only the "adults" could be this sweet and considerate to the Guards and their Mounts. What a lovely, respectful little girl. You can't help but have your heart stolen by her. The Guards appreciated her manners as well, answering, "hello" and "yes" when she sweetly asked permission to pet his horse. Horses know a pure heart. Good job, Mum. Your little girl is priceless.

The Guard at 1:10 is my favorite. He's always a gentleman, unless unwisely provoked. He did a fine job protecting the little girl, especially when the siren in the background went off, I thought it would have spooked the horse but he had great discipline. All 3 have gentle souls. If something ever happens to me, I hope some one treats my daughters with this kindness and respect

And the horses know there is something special and gentle about all of these people in the videos. See how they come over to these people so easily, no fear and seek them out for a touch and a smell. It’s wonderful….horses can judge people right away and know if friend or foe.

I volunteer for a equine therapy organization for people with special needs. People like her benefit greatly from interacting with horses, I see this all the time. Cheers to the Guardsmen!

Whenever I see these videos of the Guards being kind to children, who look at them as heroes, I can only think "What class!"

These guards showed compassion on this tender young girl. If I were their superior... they would have each been presented with a letter of commendation!
