A tour around Annecy and a decision about our future has to be made

As some of you will know, we have been spending a fair bit of time deciding on our next steps. We started ChefCampers in 2015. In 2018 we sold our house, furniture and set out on an adventure. Since then, we have been living in our vehicle. We have occasionally stayed with friends or family, but ultimately, we have been on the road. 3 years later and making money on the road is getting tougher and tougher, especially with the recent events. We had to make a decision. Settle in France and focus on building a business that would enable more travel. Or, return to the UK and build upon what we have started with ChefCampers. It was a tough choice and one that changed frequently. We have now made our decision and it feels great to have a new chapter in our lives underway. We appreciate everyone's support over the years and we hope you have enjoyed it. A step change was needed.

It’s on our bucket list, we just need to come up with the best way to do it! It could be a short break with a rental or even look at a longer trip and ship our vehicle over like Gregor and Janice. Either way, I’m sure it will be a blast!

Sounds like a plan 😁 we have been to one of your demo's at inspiring campers a couple of years ago. Very inspirational and changed my perception on cooking outside. Food is not just something that needs to get done but should be enjoyed, time spent on the process (while drinking wine obvs) using local quality ingredients at a beautiful location. Keep it up we are definately along for the journey.

You have made the right decision. Stopping Chef Campers would be wrong. Please consider coming to Cornwall. Its about time I got to see you both (not forgetting Rupert). BTW I've added to my Roadii and bought the Primus pans. So we definitely need to hook up 🤣. Shame Penny and Teddy didn't get to meet Rupert.

You have the full house! 😁 i have enjoyed the simplicity of the primus pans, they are very light for hiking and cope pretty well on the fire. Maybe look at seasoning them, if you want non stick. I tend to have enough butter and olive oil in them when I cook to be honest!

@@ChefCampers I've been reading the reports on things sticking. Would you season them the same way as the cast iron? BTW just heard on news that France is going into another lockdown. Hope you get back to UK ok x p.s. I need to know how you hung that chicken 🧐🤤

@@GRANMotherH3N I’m sure there’s a video on KZbin of someone doing it. Basically, same method as cast iron, but your pan will look brown and not shiny! I haven’t found it too hard to wash and it’s a great sauté pan.

@ChefCampers Hi there I asked a question on a very old video of yours so I don’t know whether you’d see it. So sorry for the out of the blue message, way off this topic!! Have you ever used your Cobb to heat your camper? I’m trying to find a way to heat our river cruiser without using electric or gas! I obviously need smokeless which the Cobb is after a couple of minutes. The bonus is I can obviously cook on it too! If you haven’t used it for heating, do you think it’s possible to? With the lid off would it do the job?!! Thanks in advance
