Odd that they didn't include the Titans during the tour of Tartarus. They are some of the most important figures in Greek mythology. When the Olympians won the war against the Titans, the latter were overthrown and banished to Hades. Since the Titans are primoridal forces of nature, they cannot be killed, so the Olympians had no choice but to imprison them in Tartarus, the darkest deepest depths of the Underworld. For all of eternity, the Olympians have to struggle to keep the Titans locked away, lest chaos be unleashed upon the world and disrupt the order of the Olympians. Since the Gods of Mount Olympus symbolize the faults and flaws of humanity, as well as what we strive to be, they also represent mankind's eternal struggle against chaos by upholding order through great effort and struggling. After all, it takes an individual of great strength, such as an Olympian, to overcome the Titanic forces of everyday existence.

I liked Albert Camus’ nihilistic interpretation of Sisyphus as not torture but always having a motivation, a goal to reach. Because no matter what happens, he never gives up. He still, day in and day out, tries to push the boulder up the hill. He could easily give up, yet he never does.

They didn't show all of the stuff we know about Hades. They've shown Elysium, where the honored and great live, Tartarus, where all the punished reside, but there's also Asphodel Meadows, where... Normal people go... After all, you don't have to be either a hero or a villain. Most people just go... there. It's like earth 2.0. You just live there.

Dear Ted-Ed, This video is wonderful but I took offense at the end with what book you recommended. I'm offended that you suggested your viewers read "The Song of Achilles." I have not had a single day in 3 years where I have not suffered from having my heart broken while reading it. I've thought of them multiple times a day. I've played "Hades" in a futile attempt to heal my heart. I'm in the middle of writing fanfiction to also try healing my broken heart.
