The Mercado in La Paz Baja was much like this although smaller. Sadly Walmart and other box stores made it non viable turning the mercado into an expensive tourist novelty. I’ve seen this elsewhere in Mexico. We are returning to Zihuatanejo largely due to the lack of all inclusive accommodations and less big box stores. The mercado that was remodelled in Zihuatanejo had mostly fish. One of my favourite places full of friendly fish mongers and very clean, impeccably clean, it is less busy and rushed. Zihuatanejo has much of the old town Mexico that used to be and becoming less unfortunately everywhere. The community, families and friendships definitely thrive when there are small businesses. ¡Hasta Luego!

i usually go one afternoon and buy all my souvenirs at the mercado for cheaper prices...

Hi! Just found your channel and we wanted to say hello and thank you! Love your content! We just booked a 3 week trip to Zihua next year for our 20th anniversary and your videos are super helpful. I first saw the Seahawks hat and knew I was hooked! We live in Alaska and I'm a Seahawks season ticket holder. Go Hawks! We've never been to Zihua, but we've fallen in love with what we've seen online and can't wait to experience it for ourselves. One question, we're staying at the Worldmark resort, and I assume they have internet, but we may need to do some remote work while we're there and were wondering if there are internet cafe's or coffee shops in town that may have faster internet? Again, thanks so much for your helpful videos, we subscribed and look forward to following along more!

Internet everywhere, you won't have any problems at your place or finding a good spot to work while having a coffee or beer. Don't worry, enjoy!

There is currently still a level 4 travel advisory in Effect for this area issued by the Dept. Of State ( as of Sept. 2024) and you're advising travelers to duck into small alleys etc. There is no way that can be safe.

It's safer than most places in the USA... kids don't shoot kids in school here in Mexico
