Thanks Joe - and yeah the story combined with the notes and the date - was looking on Heritage and a lot of them are dated December 25, 1937. Maybe folks saved them because of the date. We need to catch up my friend.

Hi Dan, Thanks for sharing your latest video on Buried Banknotes. What a most interesting story and history of the Singapore Bank. And the town that got buried by sand. And for mentioning part of the history of Chicago’s part in it. I just tried to find those bank notes on e-bay and nothing came up. Take care and stay warm 🙏 Bill 😎

Bill - thanks for kind words and the story told itself! I have yet to see them on eBay, a found a few sold on Heritage Auctions. I also checked Pierre Fricke who is huge (and very fair and knowledgeable) seller of Obsoletes. Website: buyvintagemoney.com But did a quick search and he didn't have any listed but he would be worth contacting directly. I did find a $3 for sale at Integrity Coin Store website www.integritycoinstore.com/products/1838-3-singapore-michigan-extreme-rare-obsolete-currency-store-sale-0932450?variant=44550272483566&currency=USD&srsltid=AfmBOoru4lPSELId42wuWECZnHg0GB1aUIwpBAbzQPpS8B76Qx81GFx0qcQ

Another great video. I do not believe you've ever done anything on the " medal/copper plates"😢 that made the notes. The note you had that shows Washington in Roman attire; I have the plate of George Washington that was used for that note. The plate was used for a number of bank notes. The book "Obsolete Paper Money" by Bowers mite by helpful.
