‘A tragedy’: Title of Prince Harry’s memoir ‘so derogatory’

Royal biographer Angela Levin says it’s a “tragedy” for Prince Harry to call his memoir ‘Spare’, as if nobody "wanted" him.
"What’s even worse, actually, in a small way, is that the title in other countries around the world … is ‘Leftover’ - as if he’s sort of been leftover on the plate,” she told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“It sounds so derogatory to call yourself ‘spare’, as if nobody wanted you.”

I cant believe, that Im actually defending Harry, but he didnt really have a choice about staying in the bunker, he was ordered to do so, coz it would be a target on the base and all the other soldiers, if his presence became known. Though I'm disgusted with Hapless Harry and find his actions unforgivable, I also find it sad how he has tossed away the close relationship he had with his brother, Princess Catherine and his niece and nephew. (I'm not ignoring Prince Louis, but I'm referring to back when Hapless used to speak fondly of playing with Prince George and Princess Charlotte and being the 'cool'/fun uncle. Aristocratic women were expected to produce "an heir and a spare" to secure the succession. Usually little was expected from the spare so most became men about town. Many also had to make their own way without much financial support. Family dynamics aside, sounds like Harry lived up to his role, and was probably well paid for doing it, so am not sure what he has to complain about.

I'm Hungarian, as you probably know, it was a communist country for 45 years. Turning family members against each other (for instance threatening or blackmailing a son into spying on his parents or a brother or sister into reporting on their siblings) was one of the most 'popular' techniques of the regime. You cannot even imagine how heartbreaking, devastating and soul wrecking it was, complete families were destroyed, people committed suicide because they could not live on with the guilt. Betraying your loved ones comes with such a huge price that Harry does not seem to understand yet. And he is doing it voluntarily, or probably manipulated by his wife. Sad, sad, very sad. It will end very badly for him, I'm afraid.

I feel this book, with its gastley title, will do more harm to the Sussex's than they realise. I don't think they have really thought this out. Everyone witnessed the outpouring of grief throughout the world on the Queens passing, the same people who will not forget how this couple behaved in the final years of her life. No matter what they say in whatever books they publish, it will NOT kill of the monarchy. I was the last...#3. #1 was the clear, acknowledged favorite of the family. To me it wasn't a big deal. #1 often has the preferential spot simply by being first born.
