@@MountainWestProductions Yes probably '40 or '50's Buick. All those cars were tough as a tank If that driver went down that hill they probably didn't survive no seat belts or other safety items.

Interesting area as well, abandoned cabin up the road lots of mining evidence old car from the same time period. Makes you wonder and makes sense. Looks like someone cleared the cabin relative etc... Maybe not but isn't there because someone decided to push it in a creek. Thanks for dropping by Charles, hope today is going well always nice chatting with you friend. Thank you.

I agree, the 1949-1953 Buick Roadster Riviera had a straight eight cylinder engine or the Fireball V8 if you wanted it. Looks like it had the original inline straight eight engine.

The "portholes" in the front fender indicates an early 1950's Buick and the engine is known as a Straight 8, a powerful and smooth 8 cylinder. I used to have a 1940 Pontiac with an 8.
@MountainWestProductions2 ай бұрын
Sounds like something that could still be produced today and outpace our “modern motors”..🤔 Thank you👍👍👋
@janblake94682 ай бұрын
Straight 8's were discontinued because of the amount of space they took up. Made engine compartments too big. They were mostly replaced by V8's and V6's.@@MountainWestProductions

Wow, 1953 Buick Special, they had a straigh/ inline 8 cylinder engine...my father had one when I was a kid.

The car is a 1953 to 55 Buick. When you see an older car with potholes in the front fenders, that's how you can tell it's a Buick. Thanks for the tour.

We have found a couple of those now haven’t we, now that you mention isn’t a Road Master outside of the house that looks like a serial killer lived there? “something bad happened here” episode from awhile back. Thank you👍👍👋
@chrissaucier93862 ай бұрын
@MountainWestProductions I don't think that's a road master in that episode. But still a neat car. Has big ol rocket fins on it. Big thing in the 50s 😁 either way, when those cars were intact, they were gorgeous 😉

I haven’t seen a driver Road Master yet, maybe at a car show briefly but can’t recall. Look like they were built like a tank however. Great stuff, thank you👍👍👋

That straight eight makes that road master 1953 or earlier; 54 was the first year of the V8

What if there was a case of coins in that cellar? Don’t let a biting critter keep you from looking, wear something thick and carry a big stick.

The engine has been pulled and the cylinder head removed. I suspect it was flipped over to remove the driveline including the rear axle out of it...
