I am 78 and can remember when Branch lines were the Arteries of the Country. When I was Stationed at Bickliegh in Devon, in 1961, I travelled to Plymouth on the old route over Dartmoor, absolutely brilliant. Also to St Ives from Plymouth in 1962. Train journeys are some of my happiest memories. Thanks for your videos, love them.

I'm diggin' this sweet music. KZbin railway journeys have some of the best music to be found. The scenery is very reminiscent of the Illawarra north of Thirroul.

I live next to this and the main line and can honestly say the it is a wonderful section of track and recommend anyone to enjoy the views it has to offer. The line still uses a token system and the token itself is as old (original in fact) the line itself - ask the driver, they will passionately explain and proudly show off this great bit of heritage. Loved seeing a cab view although not sure on the background music! Just to note, The 'Saltings' station is now officially not a stop but the previously almost unused 'Lelant Village' station sees more regular service, its also somewhere i highly recommend people alight and explore. The local area is a hidden gem of beauty and the local pub - the badger inn - a delight to visit if your passing through!

Lovely video. Music not for me, but that's why there's a mute button! Good work.

Hi. At first I thought that the music was going to be the usual rubbish but it grew on me so I didn't mute it, very pretty little trundle along one of the surviving branches, thank you.

Don't think I have ever seen guard rails in a cutting. Any idea why they are being used like that?

Nice video on a pretty UK coastal line - might be better if shot in 4K on a sunny day if possible?

Why are there lines in the middle of the track?

Those ones are to prevent a derailment from leaving the track bed.

Nice video... 8 out of 10... If it didn't have the annoying lift music and you could hear what the driver years, I would of given 10 out of 10

Thanks. It was a decision to either run with no sound or Music. I would love to have recorded the sounds but was not allowed to record Drivers voices.

@@RailMart That's certainly understandable from a legal viewpoint, but they wouldn't let you put a mic outside the cabin to capture only the sounds of the train itself? I've noticed this done with other cab rides on KZbin..

Nice video; hate jazz unless it’s hot.

Ok, sorry about that. There is always the mute option.

Another Great train trip. Does KZbin have the sound of a steam train in their music library ? Then you could shut the moaning gits up. Best Wishes.
