+KILLA whigger Awwwww, poor little fella get angry? I'm really very sorry about that, slick. But hey, all is not lost, you just made my day....I crawled under your skin and for that, I'm really happy. It's really cool to watch you poor little uneducated boys spout all your filth, and you do it simply because you can't just seem to muster up enough properly educated words to express your grimy little minds. But, at least I'm happy, because I really ticked you off, and for that, I can rejoice. Too bad, you little puke.......now I'm going to report your filth, and thus.......I shall no longer see your putrid filth..........and that will tick you even more, so that makes me glad, to put the veins sticking out of your neck, to know you're gritting your teeth in pure anger, and most of all, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Now, this is my last post to you, and as such, I shall have the last word. I'm sorry I won't see anymore of your filth, but that's life sonny boy................you have a great day now, ya hear, especially when you can calm yourself down, and know that you HAVE to take it, and you've been bested by someone smarter than you, for I won't see your dirt anymore, so, in the end..........................I WIN.............and YOU lose! Bye, bye sonny!! LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL,

Fun fact, while Jesse died hiding out in anonymity Frank had turned himself in. Every jurisdiction that laid came to him, put him on trial. No where could they find a jury that would convict him, that was how much the banks and railroad companies were hated. He lived to a ripe old age and died a free man.

First heard this song at Philmont Scout Reservation. The staff said, "This is a song about death and desolation." Really surprised me, because they started with a comical skit. They ended up balancing comic skits with tragic songs like this.

The full moon touched the cold steel lines The rail bed was frozen with ice In the distance an engine was keepin' good time The steam whistle moaned just twice Down in the cut past the old trestle bridge Twelve fine horses stood Masked men shivered in the cold on the ridge Not far from the Glendale woods The brass lamp shone from the swayin' train When the driver saw the red light Her iron brakes sparked like silver rain And the metals screamed through the night The baggage man peered out to look for the fault When fear froze up his heart He was starin' down the barrel of an army colt That threatened to tear him apart We will burn your train to cinders so throw the money on down Open up your damned express car and jump down to the ground But we won't touch that old Pullman she's Southern and they claimed They ain't offered no reward for Frank and Jesse James Frank and Jesse James In long soldiers coats frayed with years Quickly they scrambled aboard The men was a-sweatin' and the women shed tears And a preacher prayed to the Lord When they opened the safe there was nothing for them So they strolled down through the train What a miserable sight, these desperate men Robbin' old folks for their gold watch chains We will burn your train to cinders so throw the money on down Open up your damned express car and jump down to the ground But we won't touch that old Pullman she's Southern and they claimed They ain't offered no reward for Frank and Jesse James Frank and Jesse James Now some say the devil had taken his soul Some say his spirit survived But we all know he was nothin' but a Missouri farm boy Just fightin' to stay alive High above that railroad bed On a ridge where the pines grow tall If you listen to the wind there's a ghost of a chance You can still hear ole Jesse call We will burn your train to cinders so throw the money on down Open up your damned express car and jump down to the ground But we won't touch that old Pullman she's Southern and they claimed They ain't offered no reward for Frank and Jesse James Frank and Jesse James

@btwentwo
@btwentwo 9 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but I believe that Levon is referring to the fact that Jesse and Frank James were Missouri bushwackers, in a time and place where lines were drawn coldly between bushwackers and jayhawks. So because the Pullman was coming from the South-filled with southerners-it was not to be touched. No reward for Frank And Jesse James, meaning Southern men kept to their own when drawing lines during these post-civil war insurgency times.
@MrDubo1
@MrDubo1 9 жыл бұрын
It could also be that Pullman (the company that made these cars) was a seperate company from the the Northern Railway and even though the railroad had hefty rewards out for the James boys the Pullman Company was southern and never offered no reward. So maybe betwen the two of these replies you can figure it out for sure and let us know.....
