Sadly, Levon’s nephew terry Cagle (also playing drums here) passed on 2/12/23. He was the drummer for the Cate Brothers band (playing guitar and keyboards here). All from Fayetteville, Arkansas

I only live 2 hours birth place Elaine, AR. Love to head to the Delta and soak up all the music history in and around Helena-West Helena and cruise the Levon Helm Memorial Highway. Levon was one of a kind.

No wonder Levon left Dylan's tour when they were getting booed. This is what Levon wanted--a bouncing, dancing, good-time crowd who appreciated the music. He looks sooooooo happy here. And this is a great lineup--that kid on the other drum kit is terrific. (This makes Clapton's version sound like he recorded it in his sleep.)

Your opinion is your opinion but I have to side with Louie Belson, Buddy Rich and Eddie Shaughnessy as far as great drummers go. Kenny Aronoff stands out for me as a rock solid journeyman drummer. Keep rockin' in the free world.

How are they underrated? Buy a dictionary cause these guy's are considered to be some of the best musicians in their respective fields, they made great music and wrote some of the most iconic songs ever ( the weight always makes the lists of greatest songs ever etc ) People only have praise for their musicianship and the fact they had three singers,not underrated at all

This Bo Diddley piece always lit the kids way up. Played it many times. Two measures of a great piece to ;perform are this...does it get dancers on the floor and does it sell beer.

Helm seems such a "child" here. I think he got better the closer the "reaper" came. The "Band" is still my favorite group of all-time in this form of "rock."
