I like how people are commenting shes complaining, atleast shes honest...shes giving real experience to yall... and when youtubers be fake af and be "always positive" or "cut out the bad parts" yall still be complaining.... theres also another upside to this... what if this was some kind of scam technique to get more money? what if they were always doing this? this reminds me of the story of Casey Neistat's friend(Dan, the south african dude) where its just way worse.. went to Bali(cmiiw), got into a car accident, almost getting framed for car driving accidentunder the influence of a substance by the corrupt, obviously to get out of this situation the corrupt wants money....

What is up with those neg comments for AirBnB problem. Hannah acted very rationally. AirBnB must be paying for some trollers. Why would Hannah be at fault if AirBnB operator double booked and did not let her know until she arrived. She even agreed to take the 1st night at a lower quality stay - why would anyone in their right mind think that Hannah should pay for such stay. Should the operator pay for it, since she is getting DOUBLE rental. Even though AirBnB may sometime be a bit cheaper, with the risk and the costs of cleaning that goes on top, the saving is not worth it. Great vid.

Absolutely. I would have lost it and told her to fuck right the fuck off! Obviously, not the most constructive of responses and I probably would have lost money and ruined my holiday. Hannah reacted remarkably calmly and correctly in my opinion. Also, I think some people might be a bit a little jealous of Yosshi

idk why so many people are giving you shit on this video I would be equally as upset if not more so. Not bc of the place being double booked, I get, mistakes happen but there was no call for that lady to act like that and definitely there is no reason for her to charge you a full night when the mistake was not on your end. I do travel arrangements for a living and the thing is if YOU cancel or change (depending on the cancellation policy) then yea you will get charged but SHE screwed up so she had no right to behave that way.

I was surprised to scroll down and see so many negative comments. I know it's been a while since you posted this but I'll say this anyways in case you maybe see it eventually. As some others have mentioned Hannah just makes videos about her life going around. Life isn't all good times. Also stress affects people in different ways so I don't really think Hannah was overreacting at all. As for the content of this specific video she didn't JUST show the bad. She showed us her day. Simple as that. If you don't like it then don't watch it. If you have nothing good to say then stay quiet. There is a huge difference between constructive criticism, and pure insults and negative comments.

The rule at typical Online travel agency is: if you are overbooked you should book another accommodation nearby with same price or slightly more expensive. Putting you at hostel is breach of the contract between the hotel and travel agency.

You should contact air bnb and tell them to give you a refund; they have policies to handle this.

The ramp you climbed was a very populat location some years ago, all the drug heads used to meet there and do stupid stupid stunts and jumps off it, the bar closed behind was a controlled drug gangs selling point until an Australian girl and later a Jewish guy got killed. It was hushed up but the cops broke the ring and some bent cops over the issue. Thought you might like to know this brief bit of history.

I remember when we were in Thailand riding a speedboat, same weather and they have this bowl of tablets which is btw for seasick. No shame of grabbing a handful and took some about 2 to 5 tablets. No regrets because everyone was sick except me, I pass out.

Definitely not a good experience. But traveller's worst nightmare? My worst nightmare staying in Indonesia: terrorist attack, getting robbed and injured, huge volcanic outbreak, followed by an earthquake of magnitude 9, then followed by a huge tsunami while enjoying my beach-bungalow. That's a nightmare!

I remember the first island hopping trip with my fiance at Islas De Gigantes, it was starting off exactly like wind gusts you experienced! Crazy weather but it got better towards the end. I've also had many many horrible experiences with airbnb in Mania, never EVER renting anything that doesn't say superhost ever again, the extra cost of a better place is worth it believe me!

This airbnb/booking.com thing happened to me in Venice. It was so annoying because the apartment we got didn't have aircon - IN AUGUST - and we had specificially paid more for that. To top it off, it wasn't ready by 9pm when we arrived, they were still cleaning it :( I think you were fair with your compromise

nightmare, you were lucky you weren't alone. So did air bnb mess up? or was it entirely her fault? Was she the owner? or manager? There must be some kind of protocol for this in higher end places, you can't just double book and say I am sorry. Although, the airlines can apparently drag people of planes when. they double book, so may they can. I suppose the only way to deal with situation like this is to go with the flow, but that is extremely difficult emotionally, when good principles have not been observed

I've had some pretty bad experiences with AirBnB. The first time I used it was in Japan and while I got some really reasonable rates and some of the places I stayed at were really nice the one I got in Osaka was not cleaned before we arrived...as luck would have it around 10PM. AirBnB did right and refunded my stay pretty quickly after i contacted customer support and sent pictures. However I did not have anyplace to stay and fortunately for me by pure luck picked out APA hotel near Kuromon and someone spoke English and got us a room! And it was a really nice room at that, although pretty small. I also booked and then had the host cancel on me for an airbnb stay in Banff Canada. The host tried to get me to agree to a higher price after I booked saying they made a listing error and while airbnb initially took my side and told me not to cancel they eventually relented to the host and allowed them to cancel and rebook it...even though that is against their policy. Lesson? If you use airbnb make sure the host either has LOTS of positive reviews or is a Super Host. I've never heard of any of my friends having a problem with a Super Host. It's what I'll do if i use airbnb again anyway lol.

Well Hannah, a thumbs up to both you and Yosshi. I love the drone work. I'm an Aussie and my sons loved Thailand and Bali on full moon party time a good mate loves Vietnam and has travelled frequently to there. My boys climb abseil and overall have a great time in between their work commitments. I must say though that I have my concerns for your safety especially when you head to your hotel/motel at night without a male friend with you. I realise the scum should not be taking advantage of you but unfortunately that doesn't stop them and also that shouldn't stop you from having a ball. Just the Dad thing in me coming out. I have a 25 yr old daughter as well. Please, have a ball and take care.

I guess that can just happen everywhere, but coming from the west we should probably not assume the service quality being at the same level in all parts of the world. The lady was obviously silly, because for not offering you a first night for free, she lost profit from your other nights and potential other customers as well.. I guess she deserves that.. I always apologize to customers and offer a compensation for double-book because thats obviously host's fault.. Just life experiences for both parties.

I recommend you to stay at Govardhan Bungalow. The got the highest rating from travellers. Booking.com 9.2 and tripadvisor 9.7. And I stayed at the hotel and the rating is totally correct.

Wow i cant believe that she is saying being double booked in her accommodation and having that inconvenience of that as a " Travellers worse nightmare ". And then we see video of her and her bf riding on a scooter with no helmets on. I would think a " Travellers worse nightmare " is having some sort of accident or illness in a remote location with limited medical facilities. And having to be medivacked home. And if you do some research the amount of tourists who are killed and injured in motor vehicle accidents in Asia is actually a lot.
