That has the classic signature of a tornado, the trees were snapped off high up and show evidence of twisting. They also were downed in different directions whereas a down burst or straight line winds would snap them off much closer to the ground and lay them out pretty much all in the same direction.

I hate storms too. I also was in a bad one as a kid. Living in a small cabin with my dad when I was around 12. He was out working and I woke up to a tornado that nearly touched down right in top of the cabin. I lived in Harrison Michigan at the time.

On a positive note" Nature clearing some tree's. Fire wood for your family. The roof is repairable . On the west coast' fires and earth quakes. I'd take the storms over fire any day. And snow over earth quakes. Just sumthin to ponder. Your alive above all else. Hugz and a smile.

Trees are down and the winds have blown through and some buildings have been damaged no lives lost... where I live we had this every year in the Caribbean during Hurricane Season it's crazy we lose trees we lose homes and we lose lives so let's be thankful it could have been worse but it wasn't Mother Nature can do her thing and no matter what we want to do we can't stop her... wish you a speedy recovery from all of this...Thank you Jesus🙏🙏🙏

First time I saw this ! I haven't gone this far back. I dislike storms also. You have to take the good with the bad. Praise God everyone was safe! Lessons to be learned about keeping old tall trees near homes. Neighbourly, family love! To come and help. Yes firewood for sometime. Logs to build with? Thank you for sharing. Bless you.

Life is crazy...it gives you challenges every time you get too comfortable or happy, it seems. So here are some challenges my husband and I got handed over years....We bought a shell of a farmhouse and loved our 50 year old ponderosa pines and nearest neighboe was 8 miles away. Fixed it into a comfy home working side by side, went thru 15 years of crazy, hard times...we worked hard, drove 100 miles up to work, then 100 miles home, working 12 to 14 hors a day. After 911, we bought 35 acre property...had paid off house by being frugal and working, grew all our food, fished and hunted for our meat, bought rest off local farmers. As we aged, we decided to sell our home and build back on our woods before we retired. Did the basement dig out and the septic; timbered 26 trees for homesite and started stacking it for an outdoor wood furnace. Had to build a half mile gravel road back to our homesite. Day finally arrived to move back into new home. We brought things over by jeep and pickup for several days, each night and weekend...after the 12 hour work days and the daily 200 mile work commutes. Yep, grit and dreams spurred us on. We were sitting on porch first night...wind kicked up...massive mini tornado whipped thru. We got to our basemet and waited. A hugh pine tree had been snapped off...it touched the tip of our home, but only knocked a shutter off. We were laughing and happy! Went to drive out and found 8 trees blown down...all across that mile long driveway. Husband cussing, me holding tears back. We slept on floors, got upSat. at dabreak and began the sawing, cleaning, hauling and stacking wood. Our old house was going up for auction the next week. We went to check on it...four the whole front yard and part of front porch roof...covered in fallen branches, debrie, and SIX MASSIVE 70 year old ponderosa pine uprooted and laying all over our front acreage. We both were just stunned into silence. We each took a week's vacation time and worked until exhaustion each daybreak to nightfall, cleaning up our land, but the trees were too massive for us to deal with and because of the tornado damage, electric power was ot for whole week throughout our rural county. I knew where there was a tapped spring water by side of a back- in-woods farm, so I got permission to get drinking water. Nobody could get ice, so it meant our meat supply was spoiled in our freezers. We had a pond on our new homesite, so we took pails and used it to flush toilets and boiled water at our firepit to wash dishes ...and us. Roads were flooded, so you couldnt drive to another county. Bread, milk...got bought out on first day. Our town only had one grocery store and one gas station. We had a small generator but without power, no gas pumps worked, no restaurants or fast food places could keep food fresh or run registers. We ate our meat quick, cooked on open fire and had our canned food from garden. We had power come on day of auction...but only 3 people came because everyone was struggling over storm damages. Sold it for what we had bought it for 17 years ago, so it was a big financial loss. But we look toward our new home and worked hard. Many storms came and went...we weathered each together. We got 10 years of paridise, living our rustic, rural dream life together. That dream ended three years ago, when my outdoors loving husband had a terrible accident on our land one early morning...and I found him, deceased, in our woods. But, after the shock slowly wore off and I had to go on without him....I realized just how lucky we had been to get to live that life, to share all that amazing nature and lifestyle together, and to do it together, always. I am so glad we challenged ourselves, went for our dreams...and truly lived life to the fullest!

I just watched this video 2 years after the fact, and I'm very thankful you were safe and had help clearing the trees. I lived in the country during an ice storm in November...northern Ontario, no power, no phone, heated with the woodstove in a house under construction and not fully insulated. I also had two 2 day old puppies. I was alone, husband was hunting 6 hrs away. I was also 2 months pregnant. I consider it the worst experience of my life. I learned a lot from it though and am always much better prepared and less fearful. Love your videos. Lori

Two weeks ago a huge oak fell on my house! It uprooted due to the weight of the snow on it. What a mess. In the end girl, we survived it. Still alive & no injuries. Melting snow all over the floor. Took 2 guys 2 days to cut the tree off the house. Huge beautiful tree. Still cleaning up the mess. Stay safe girl. Glad you are ok. I still love trees but not when they fall on me. The tree was an oak & fell from one side of the house to the other. Love your videos & your beautiful dog.

Wow! that was some storm! Glad no one was hurt. Glad you had family and friends to help with the mess of having a tree on your house. The ride down the road with all the trees down was really something.
