A Tribute to Al Meltzer: WCAU Philadelphia - The Way We Won (May 22, 1988)

As a special tribute to the late great sportscaster Al Meltzer, here is a Sports Special that he hosted on May 22, 1988 for the then-CBS O&O WCAU in Philadelphia (now a Comcast/NBC-owned station) entitled 'The Way We Won'. Commercials are included and are watermark-free.
As most of you know, Mr. Meltzer passed away on June 12, 2018 at the age of 89, just two weeks shy of his 90th birthday. ''Big Al'' was a fixture in Philadelphia broadcasting during his 50 year career, and worked for WCAU, KYW-TV, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia (now NBC Sports Philadelphia), as well as WPHL-TV doing play-by-play for Big 5 and 76ers basketball. He also had a short stint in Chicago at NBC O&O WMAQ-TV in the late 1970's. My thoughts and prayers go out to Meltzer's family and friends and his extended family at the stations he worked at. Thanks for the memories, Al. You will be missed.

Thank you for posting this. I watched this back in 1988 but didn't tape it for some reason. I have a copy of the WCAU 40th Anniversary Special but this one eluded me, until now.

No. I wanted to use a somber theme from one of the NBC packages since they're now an NBC O&O, but I didn't want to use a tribute theme that I used before and I don't have that many NBC-related packages.
