A tribute to the life and legacy of DMX. A montage of scenes in notable feature films and music videos from 1998-2004. Earl Simmons, better known as the rapper DMX, died April 9th, 2021 in White Plains, New York. He had been on life support following a heart attack. He was 50 years old.

💔This man was Tupac for me growing up, cause I was born in 2002, it was unbelievably amazing being able to witness this mans power in front of my eyes. Til this day I feel like he deserves way more credit than he gets, he is definitely like one of the top five biggest artists of all time in my eyes and growing up my dad always played him on the radio. His music was so touching and powerful, after watching his documentary about his upbringing it really broke my heart. This man here was a legend. He’s so relatable and went through so much..with addiction, family and depression. I’m so glad he can finally rest now. DMX we love you so much brother, feels like I lost one of my own. 🌹🕊❤️🦮you’ll live on through your powerful craft you’ve left behind for us.⛓🎶

There will never be another DMX his message his music and his films will be cherished forever. He was the next generation of hip hop after tupac and biggie passed away he carried the torch and continued to show hip hop to the world. He is now in a place of eternal love and peace and our lord jesus has given him a sign to come home into heaven thank you DMX you paved the way for other hip hop artists and a true inspiration to millions. They’ve messed up so many bio pics. They need to do his justice when the time comes because he was such a complex and layered human being. So much trauma working against his innate compassion. Not saying he was a saint, but he was fighting demons from the moment he entered the womb. He was destined for a life of pain and kept trying to fight through it until his dying day. For the rest of us who ain’t perfect out there: keep fighting the good fight! Darkness is nothing in the face of the light.
