It’s timely we revive GKS deserving contributions to modern SGP! N not only him. LKS S Raja HSS TCC n all the 1G team! Don’t attribute everything to just one man!

His dedication and contributions to our nation foundation and building were indeed countless and plentiful, with most of our people would have no denials to them. Till today, we from the older generation born in the late 1950s to early 1980s would always remember and reminisce Dr. Goh’s era and his leadership for our Singapore 🇸🇬, ❤🎉😂

My greatest respect for Dr Goh for not accepting his signed OCS to be a Cadet Officier at Pasir Laba Camp..to be trained by the battle tested Israelis..could be due to our first Chief Minister, David Marshall(a Jew) who accompanied Tengku at the Baling Talk with the CPM(Communist Party of Malaya) leader Chin Peng.

Imagine the idea of a bird park, zoo and symphony orchestra came from him. I was lucky to tasked with the hydroponic farm project in 1981 but alas it’s not able to breakeven. Till today Singapore is trying to get several high tech farms are struggling to break even. Clearly Dr Goh is concerned about Singapore self sufficiency of food . His famous quote is The only way to avoid making mistakes is not to do anything. And that will be the ultimate mistake.

Singapore owes its success to the pioneer politicians, one being DR GOH KENG SWEE! It was a fact that can never be denied by all Singaporeans! Where was LKY? Flying around with his wife in the foreign land! Every SG politician agrees on Dr Goh's great contributions to SG economy! He was hands on in every single niche, turning the economy around! Dr Goh Keng Swee was a trained economist! What can a lawyer understand economics like that of an economist?

LKY flew around to establish foreign relationship and subsequently put Singapore on global map. Singapore passport is now one of the most valued due to LKY's effort to fly around(which you scorned so much)

In any team there must always be a leader. For good or bad, the credits of successes or blame of failures must be shouldered by the leader! It’s for the leader to share and attribute success to the team, but to shoulder the weight of failures solely on his own shoulders! In football jargon, a prolific scorer may not make a good manager n vice versa. Good eg, the legendary Maradona. To take credits away from late LKY for flying around is tantamount to belittling the goalkeeper for not scoring goals or discounting the manager for not even playing on the field but yet in charge of results! “No man is an island”. Neither can a team succeed if it’s fragmented, disunited, passionless, talentless, or not comprehensively or holistically talented n most of all, leaderless. So I hope you can re-skew your opinions. The success or early success of sgp has been attributed to 1G, never to only 1 man. But LKY being the leader seemingly took most the credits. But if sgp had failed n they all were corrupted, likewise he’ll be condemned through history. There has been more than enough occasions where he attributed sgp success to 1G team. I have never heard him claiming all the credits to himself?!
