Vivien Leigh was born for that role. She not only played Scarlett, but she also WAS Scarlett. I cannot read the book without seeing Leigh's face. Just as magnificent was Hattie McDaniel. Both deserved every award received and more.

Vivian Leigh und Clark Gable sind mit diesem Epos aus Romantik, zerbrechlichen Gefühlen und andauernden Konflikte , die am Ende zu einer Tragik führen unsagbar authentisch. Scarlett spielt sehr emotional und temperamentvoll , versteckt ihre Gefühle nicht. Sie konnte in der Beziehung mit Rhett Butler glücklich werden, hat aber seine Gefühle ignoriert und damit auch selbs begraben. . Rhett hat Scarlett geliebt, sie hat jedoch aus puren Leichtsinn und Naivität seine Liebe abgelehnt. Sie verliebte sich in Ashley. Scarlett und Rhett, waren wie zwei Kometen im All, mit einer explosiven Ladung. Nur aber mit dem riesen Unterschied; Rhett war seinem Gefühlen zu Scarlett treu . Sie erkannte dies aber zu spät.

Scarlett really loved Rhett very deeply but she didn't manage to show it ..only at the end of the movie,a very sad ending because of a bad timing

It wasn't sad at all, she realized that Tara was the most important thing and if she ever recovered Rhett then great but if not then that's fine cause at the end of the day everything will be okay if she has herself and Tara
