I am a flooring estimator and its the first time I've watched these videos and if I was measuring this job with that bedroom/step thats exactly what I would of suggested as unfortunately some fitters aren't skilled enough to cut and joined that step... ( I said some 😅 )..And that small landing I would be measuring it opposite way to the bedroom...

I am going to run the step down the nosing, instead of keeping it the same direction as the rest of the room

Finish it in the door same pile as room ( trim ) then Lay the mini landing same as stairs

By your strip on the risers, I'm guessing it's a waterfall install, so I'd run the landing the same direction as the steps, and then just make sure that room & 1/4 turned pile was ran so same look, light to dark

Looks nice.. a couple things I noticed as different from what I do.. -- I choose to remove doors from the pins vs unscrew the whole hardware -- I think the step down from the loft would be nicer with installing some 1x1 or 1x2, to make a stair nose, and eliminate the need for the metal transition But I definitely like your tackstrip spacer tool for the step runner.. great video.. and if you did the hdwd, it also looks nice

The drill you are using on those stairs is too big. I would use a Bosch 12 V where the battery slides into the Gripp. This is also very good when you come to screw door plates down as I’m sure you do using a 16 mil screw with a 3.5mm head.
