Great videos, the best I’ve watched from carpet fitters in the UK..

Hey guys, love your work. I wish we in Sydney Australia took as much pride in quality as you do in the UK. Unfortunately it’s almost always about time or money. There are some great layers here but are often drowned out by the need for speed. I go at my own speed ensuring I’m doing the best I can for the customer while being jabbed by the younger blokes (water off a ducks back😂).

Sid Knee it’s the same here also. Not a lot that take pride. Many just want to do it done and move on the next. Which is unfortunate for the trade

Not enough instructions. The carpet magically goes from being cut to already having a border, without showing or telling how they're laid out and attached, and what materials to use. SMH

Why oh why oh why do you waist your life doing perfect prepping when nobody is going to see it??? If you know people who spend there lives complaining about a badly grippered architrave then there is something wrong with the world
@matthewjordan77724 жыл бұрын
It fits better, it looks better, carpets last longer fitted correctly. Stick to your £2 m2 work and knowbody will ever complain about your architraves 👍

I hope the guy who laid the foundation to you home didn’t have the same attitude as you. Also it’s practice mate, you need to calm down. I’m guessing you don’t go back for call backs/defects either because you’re too good for that. Guys like us have to go back and fix your rubbish because you can’t do it right.

I was taught buy one of the main fitters from Brintons... he made me do everything that you are doing!! And after I learnt everything he had to teach, he showed me how to do the same job 5x faster...
@frank53633 жыл бұрын
Bottom line is this, I can get the same finish as them with 1 piece of griper straight across an architrave or with 7 mitred pieces. It looks nice and professional but it’s a waste of time. A good fitter can instal a carpet properly on most prep work. No hate, I like these guys, they do a top job, they just probably work more hours than they need to.
