I have creative upload titles... We went down for an early father's day and we could not have asked for a better day.
Over the winter I fixed a couple of leaks in the "superheater" and completely remade the steam input and output manifolds for the cylinders. The steel that they were originally made out of was starting to perforate. I also made sure the timing of the valve events were good for the first time ever. The fireman (left) side valve was out of center about 1/8th of an inch. Notches up great now.
The loco might as well be old friends with the railroad. The About Us section of the PVLS website shows the builder, Jim Turnbull, on the right with the loco in August of 1967 at PVLS. It was just finished earlier that year. My grandfather has the September 1967 issue of Live Steam Magazine with the exact photo.
