A beautiful tribute to our very special eagle family. Jackie, God love you, keeping your eggs then chick warm through snowstorms and so tenderly feeding your chick, even when she no longer needed to be fed. Shadow, Mr. Stickman, who provided food through thick and thin, master raven chaser, who gave in to the women in your life time after time. And Spirit, who’s light shone bright, who’s personality was so full of light, inquisitiveness and joy. Miss Squee princess. You three represent all that we humans wish to be. Loyal, unflagging, hard workers, and beyond all, tender and loving. It has been an honor to watch you and feel a part of your life. Thank you! 🥰❤️

@@dawnastichter6569 This makes me sad. I loved Spirit so much, she was the first eaglet I followed from hatching to fledging. I was really hoping for Jackie and Shadow to have a successful breeding season but it wasn’t meant to be. I’m not 100% sure but I suspect the eggs didn’t hatch because of the brutal weather we had in March. They were left alone too long at temps below freezing . I felt especially sorry for Shadow, he was so disappointed. Jackie is a bit more practical and less emotional than Shadow. They make a great couple, their different personalities play well off each other. Keeping talons crossed for next year! 💜🦅🪺🪶

Thank you so much Baiba, Cali, and Deep forest for incredible footage It was a truly amazing experience seeing this family protect the eggs from predators and thru snow storms where Jackie was completely buried Shadow being such a great dad So awesome to see Spirit being born and grow up so fast in front of our eyes. Watching and hearing Spirit squealing everytime when Mom and dad brought a fish. We all saw Spirit fledge and become more and more independent I will miss you Spirit, please come back and visit mom and dad so we can see you again Be free like you were born to be ❤💜❤ 🦅🦅🦅!!!

I’m not crying, you’re crying. What a touching compilation video. I’ve felt sad and depressed ever since Spirit left the area last week, and worry that she can’t hunt on her own, being only less than a month since fledging, but then remember how well her parents have taught her so that she was ready. I have to trust that she’s ok and doing just fine out there, somewhere. She will be missed forever. Now we just need a compilation video of all of the eagle sneezes between the three of them over the last nine months. So sweet and adorable and hilarious. This would lift our “spirits”!

Thank you Baiba, I’ve been sick with Covid and bed bound. I miss our Spirit so much, I cry and cry. 😓 I pray she’s soaring high and high and free. May she be in peace and never hungry, may the Spirits guide her through this world and let her live a happy, free life. I love you little one, and will never forget you. I can’t stop crying. I’m in so much pain. 😓😭I didn’t know I would become so attached. I pray God gives me more years to see more beautiful eagles. They are my everything now. 🦅❤️

We had such an amazing season with the successful raising of Spirit by Jackie and Shadow. They worked tirelessly protecting and caring for their egg and then hatchling through snow storms, ravens and unforeseen obstacles, always giving their baby priority over everything else. These great parents have been rewarded knowing their offspring has flown out into the world making a life of her own. We can now look forward to next season and with a little luck the process will be successfully repeated with us being allowed to view it all once again.

I understand. I cant go through the stress of it anymore. When Jackie and Shadow were raising Cookie and Simba and had that late snow storm, cookie succumbed to the cold and died. I couldnt take it. Simba fledged later and I have always wondered how he has done and where he ended up. I do check in on this nest and was so happy to hear that Spirt had fledged. I just cant get as invested. My heart is far to sensitive where Gods creatures are concerned.

I've always been in awe of the American Bald Eagle, but had no idea that I could fall in love with this eagle family. It was so educational following Jackie, Shadow and Spirit. I get a big knot in my stomach knowing that I probably won't see precious Spirit again. This eagle family opened up my heart in a way I couldn't have imagined. Thank you all. ❤️🦅🇺🇸. Hate to say it, but I'm thankful only one egg hatched. Spirit hatched on the 32nd anniversary of my Mom's passing! She is very special to me! My Mom loved nature! Seems like just yesterday, but indeed the days are going by and by. We will miss that squee Princess, Spirit. Her parents, last evening, in that roost tree, alone, made my eyes well. They have done what Nature intended them to do... Raise that chick into a fledging tween, teaching her all the vital necessities for survival. I have never witnessed anything even remotely close and I farm with Hawks present, on my acreage. We have named Hawks; Hawkeye, Hawka and Hawkette... Generations. Today, my 17 year old said "mom, that Hawk flew 6 feet over your head!" We look forward to the next generation of Eagle, soon. Blessings from The Farm.

What an absolutely brilliant compilation of some wonderful memories, I remember watching some of them as they happened. Jackie and Shadow have always been a special couple and when feisty Spirit arrived their devotion to her even in the middle of some of her worst meltdowns was amazing. She is a wonderful Eaglet, I just wish she had hung around a lot longer before leaving on her grand journey. Who knows, she may just come crashing back into the nest unannounced one day demanding a meal. Thank you

Gee, I think I must be the only one who was glad to see Spirit leave for good. She was such a whiner. It's great seeing the species produce the next generation. I'm looking forward to seeing next year's chick just to compare it with Spirit to see if indeed all chicks and fledglings are as crankly as Spirit.
