I visited Foula for a couple of days in 1995. This video brought back happy memories of a dramatic landscape. Thank you.

Absolutely cracking video! I have visited Shetland many times but never Foula yet! This is the perfect inspiration!

This is beautiful in every way. I especially loved the slow pace and the way your personality was exhibited by your observations.

wonderful documentary and poetic narration. the waves crashing through Foula Gaada Stack was a unique spectacle that maybe one day I can experience.

when was this film taken please? and does anybody know if the villagers gather the wool from the shetland sheep, sheer it before they malt? or let it fall and then gather?

Eight seconds into the video the opening credits say "A weekend in June 1993".

A branch of my family own Foula. I know some of the sheep are sheered and the wool used for knitting sweaters etc
