Nice pictures ! I visited Yemen 7 times since 2007, I confirm that some of your pictures could be taken today without any differences. Yemen is one of these countries which 40 years later you see the same scenery. I like a lot Yemen, I wish the country will go through a reconciliation process including north and south, this country is so beautiful and people with a so great hospitality.

@@brittalbach416 I have always traveled by car with guide and driver or driver only. No problem if you are dressed properly -wide pants and wide tunic -legs and arms covered-. Always been to the tourist police in Sana'a to check the ride before departure.

@@giselebusson I see.. Sounds great. I always hate it when western women travel to these countries half-naked. God bless you and have further great trips. Greetings from Germany💝

Thanks Gisele. In several comments I was told that there are only little changes. I also remember that people were very helpful, since my Arab knowledges were very poor.

I'm afraid that because of the war, many of the beautiful old buildings have been destroyed
@becurioustv48609 жыл бұрын
this part of the capital Sana'a is called old Sana'a. The houses are 1000 years old and there are 9000 of them, but now in 2015 saudi arabia destroyed 4000 of those incredible buildings and houses.

I had the same idea when I saw videos from Sana'a here on YT. More paved roads and streetlights, more souvenirshops for tourists. To my surprise these videos show more women dressed in black than in 1974.
