This is truly the most AMAZING DESIGN I have ever seen for camping. I have been camping all my life of 70 years! Truly designed by a camper for a camper by non pros who knew what was needed and solved the issues in such a realistic beautiful way. Lightweight, ease of set up, versatility, expanded usable space, esthetically pleasing, I am still stunned. WOW!

Freaking blown away at how fast they broke that down, how light and compact it is, and the fact that it can be easily removed and you still have the utility of the truck topper! And dang, on a mid sized, short bed truck?!! Whoa!!!

Love this. I've had a similar idea, but never put it to paper. Need to make versatile to different types of vehicle. Something that would fit a back door that swings up ( for instance a Grand Caravan) or one that wraps around to the side (for vans)to be able to use side doors. Truly wish these people the best.

That is amazing! The fact that neither of them has the background for this kind of thing and just went for it... 🤯 There has to be a manufacturer out there that will jump on this! A great design, it's a camper's dream! No need to unfold and pop a tent, no need to haul a weighty camper or fifth-wheel, plus you can put your canoe/kayak on a roof rack above it? Just ... wow!

Just this week, I was thinking of making something like this, just needed some ideas, as I live in me Tramper van a lot, need something a bit solid for winter time, you Sir, have saved me a lot of time , great ide, hope you get it off the ground, I am. In the UK, my sides will just hang down, with poles and canvas, 🎉🎉🎉

Ingenious! I'd certainly buy one. Very handy to have. Plus it keeps your car cool too. Mount your solar panels on top of this and have the cables come thru on the back end, to the MPPT controller, then down into house batteries. Very smart. Good luck!

That’s genius!! I’d buy that for my kid’s because we have an RV, but they have to rent cabins every time we do family camping trips, so that would be ideal! The only draw back I could see is that it’s pretty hot where we’re from in the Summer, not as cool as those Colorado nights, so idk, air conditioning might be a necessity, but it’s very cool! 😎

I am in LOVE with THAT!! I don't know how much it would cost, but this needs a lot more exposure. Hope they find a manufacturer for it. That's a brilliant idea. Had thought though. Whether or not the patent comes through, they could always sell the plans to DIYers. They'd also maybe (big maybe) make some $$ while they wait for a manufacturer.
