A TRUE PRIMORDIAL WARRIOR CLASS! | Conquest of Azeroth CLOSED ALPHA | Primalist 1-50

Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video and today we're going to hop back on Project Ascension's Conquest of Azeroth server and play the Primalist class, an elementalist who is in tune with the Earthmother herself.
This class is very interesting and, in my opinion, very well designed. It boasts three specs with at least four different playstyles. The specs are Wildwalker, Life, and Geomancy and the Geomancy spec can be played as both a Hybrid DPS and Tank spec, while the Wildwalker plays as a melee DPS, and the Life spec plays as a healer.
I actually enjoyed the Life spec the most in this video because it is a very unique take on a healer, being a "melee heals" spec where you literally utilize your melee DPS abilities to heal your allies in a very bombastic way that is very satisfying to play.
I also enjoyed the Wildwalker, it felt like there were a lot of impactful talents to choose from that made that class fun to explore, and lastly I did genuinely enjoy the Geomancy spec and I thought it was loads of fun to shapeshift into an Earth Elemental and start tanking by shaking the very earth itself!

I hope u get the 2mil likes xD. The moment you used pet friend and summoned a bear my brain instantly yelled REXXAR! Now wildwalker will always be the Rexxar class for me. I hope to see some inprovement to the SoA healer having it work as like a debuffer and healer with a blood shield to help rage gain or maybe gaining rage from how much aggro is directed at the player with their shield on it would be fun to see and feel very thematic to me. Ugh so many good choices for what to main in CoA. My altoholism is going to relapse super hard. Harvest Reaper is obviously a leading contender because of my edgelord inclinations. Son of Arugal for the true melee werewolf experience, going wild and clawing up all the furniture. Robotics Tinker because every pet class should be focused on the pet, and who doesn't love mech suits? Shadowhunting Witch Doctor because Dinomancy actually looks interesting even though it's a very niche class fantasy offshoot (WD = Troll and Zandalar = Troll so WD = Dinos! *derp*). Just so many wonderful flavours of mayhem, and I can't wait to get into CoA. -Valkeiran

Concur with the others on how well these classes are being designed. Still need work to fix flaws (as pointed out in the video) but that's a matter of iterative adjustment until the target is hit. -Corinth

actually that math thing at the end is completely fine if you change the order at which the effects are applied If Improved Hand of the Earthmother applies first then it reduces the cost by 20. So 20 from 40. And then reducing the cost by half makes you end up at 10 The question is if this is intended and just badly conveyed or if it coincidentally works out. Ubirajara, Archimonde

The tooltip probably isn't wrong, the 20 is just first substracted from 40 and then halved. instead of halved and then subtracted. :)

If I recall correctly, Primalist Geomancy tank was the tank spec that was bugged when I was playing. Would pull the entire dungeon at once with 1 AOE spell cast.

I came into your channel and thought you were just another PvP douche who enjoyed flexing and kill reels but I'm not too proud to admit that was a very bad first impression. I believe that the bloat caused by on-use talents in the talent trees is excessively high. In my opinion, a more effective approach would be to limit the total number of such talents to six, between both the specialization tree and the class tree. To maintain simplicity and streamline the system, a majority of talents should be passive buffs or abilities that enhance existing skills.

I think for the entangle weapon it could be 10sec disarm in pve but reduced by 40-50% on players making it only 5 or 6 seconds cuz 10 is definitely too op unless you have to spend talent points to make it longer. Primalist seems like a lot of fun, played one at 30 cap but haven't touched him since.

the bit at thend doesnt seem to be bugged Life Primalist halves the cost with 40/2its 20 2/2 Improved Hand of the Earthmother =x-20 20/2=10 With 1/2 improved hand of the earthmother you should have 15 rage cost, which does equal a 5 rage reduction per point taking it, so it doesnt make a difference for this specific case outside of wether its actually bugged or you just didnt catch onto the math at that moment

Actually, it would not be free, cause the 20 rage deduction goes first and then 50%, so the calculation is ok. I mean, it does not say that it goes like this, but obviously it is like that.
