Idk why they did this random talent thing. The only saving grace you had when getting a bad pairing of skills is that you could maybe swap your talents around in a way to make it work. The whole point of the wild card game mode IN MY OPINION was trying to make builds work and improve on what you got. Now it's just full RNG city and if you didn't get what you wanted insta reroll. Definetly not my vibe. I just got to level ten, realized that my talents were random and logged back off lmao.

I actual form a Build with searing and atal ai totem in Kombination with imp and wild imp and for own damage arcane missile its all time while leveling in the top dmg on dungeons and battleground and i am now lvl 60 and have After massive rerolls not all talents i need for, so i imagine how much damage i have when i get all talents i actual dont have

As of Season 9 I did a mythic 30 with Grove Ranger, which is my main. With the buffs and adjustments this class isn't that bad now. I finally get compliments and questions about how I'm able to perform so well. I plan on making a video of what I use, but this is entertaining to see the early works of this class in play. What a pioneer!

I feel like part of the lack in dps is the rotation being pretty much 90% filler, there’s nothing in the background behind the smite/holy fire and mind flay to add damage. So like for holy damage maybe pick up some paladin dot effects, or even consecration for aoe and for added shadow damage you can take shadow word pain, vampiric touch, etc. then, you could maybe snag life tap and enervate for mana. Idk if that will work but it’s worth trying. I can’t play to make the build myself so go ahead and try it out and lmk how it goes

I feel like going for specific builds in a random roll mode is always going to end in sadness. Probably just better to get random stuff and roll away stuff that doesn't fit.

He said that 3k dps for normal kara is fine but right now in ascension 3k dps isn't even enough for normal MC. It's been 1 year and powercreep is through the roof. They should really scale all things down hard.

I've been back on ascension after like 2 seasons trying out all the new stuff, and it still has it's flaws, but I definetally think that they're heading in the right direction. There's so much more free choice on how you want to make a build and do content the way you want and stuff like that. I found something interesting today, which is why I'm making this comment. I really think that you'd like a parry-tank build McDoubles. I know you had a lot of fun with the gnome and there's a lot of cool and interesting combos that I came across with the talents. I do also understand your feelings towards ascension right now, but I thought I'd at least make a comment.

I haven't been watching with recent Ascension stuff. I think I fell off when they made the talents RNG. I don't think Ascension should be pushing for more RNG, It's obviously an important component cause people don't really like playing area 52. (personally I think Area 52 is a better idea if you add some more meaningful interaction with how you get your skills but that's besides the point) Knowing that I think RNG is a needed component for people to have fun in ascension but it has it's limit. you don't want people falling off after 100 hours of playing with no positive interaction with your game. If I could plan it out I'd go for no RNG trial based ways of obtaining skills, like how you used to find really good skills in raids, but make it soloable stuff like the tower from Legion (just a set difficulty for the quality of skill you want). You want effort + reward in my opinion not pull lever = no coins. I'm sorry this didn't get you back into it my guy. I hope Ascension can pivot back from this in the future. It was an experiment worth having, but it can't be the way forward I think.

Should consider doing another episode of "Private Server News". Seems like a good time and it would help me. I'm on the prowl for a server after being awol for a bit. I can't be the only one.

Wow wildcard got even worse... even abilities are rng now... so glad i stopped playing because they couldn't scale ranged wepons correctly and it appears that they still can't...

you can play area 52 and mythic dungeons , pvp is trash

Yeah, no draughts and no darkmoon fair makes a big difference, but also class. Rogues just dont have good leveling tools. Plus something to pick up and turn in quests automatically will save a lot of time

Everytime I play Ascension i get the same Option 3 issue, and they only continue to add ways for RNG to screw you. I really don't understand why they decided to add tallents to the random rolls, it only made it far more likely to get screwed by RNGegus. I really really wish they would do a free pick season, just let us pick our builds with a fresh server.

you talk about not understanding why you do no damage, you have literally, no build. like at all. builds dont work until hundreds and hundreds of rerolls, that's ascension now. its a gacha game. you either spend a ton of time grinding rerolls, or you spend money to skip the time. you'd think after playing for as long as you have you'd see that by now.

Started watching the chapter 2 video, you mostly cried. This video, mostly crying. I miss the old mcdoubles. Its a genuinely rare occasion when someone who ISNT mc doubles gets me back into ascension. Further when mc doubles makes me not want to watch mc doubles something is probably up. It's gambling. Project Ascension is gambling. Every change in the past several major content iterations has centered around increasing and diluting the pool of results and increasing the pay-off of getting 'the right stuff', as rare as that may be. There's no profitability in another approach. Now you pay your money for your XP pots, slam out Manastorms to pull the slot machine wheel, and if it doesn't work out you go again. Quite degenerate. It's part of why I really want to see Conquest of Azeroth arrive but I'm worried that it will be so much less profitable compared to the slot machine server that it'll be neglected for the most part (level 60 where?) I appreciate your attempt to stay positive though my dude, at least you gave it a shot!

I don’t want to be a “Jack” so don’t take it this way, but I watched for 11:55 so far (I’ll finish it) and it’s not at all a “should you play” view so far. You spent three hours doing what I can’t do because I’ve never played so I don’t have “cards” or anything to boost a character. My game play will be WAY different than yours if I decide to play. I was looking to get into the game from the start? Finished the video, your knowledge and the way you quickly go through skills/enhancements yet make it so is not big brains for this game get it is amazing. The fact your build is essentially bricked that easily makes me really disinterested though.

Speaking for myself : i do not care what i roll, i make it work for myself and i don't have issues if others might think that is not very good or even good enough. I just do my thing and enjoy that without any expectation what so ever.
