What a beautiful video! You are your own country! Your community and lifestyle is amazing. It seems like you live half above water and half below. All your citizens are patriots and seem happy to contribute what they are able for the greater good! What a wonderful example you Scoutians set for the rest of us! Love You!

So good to see this video of the 8 of you and how much the kids are growing. Good for you for choosing your own lifestyle. The kids will never forget this adventure. Your videos are awesome so keep up the documenting for us landlocked folks. Hugs to the entire crew.

Fishing out the fishing rod that got caught while fishing a fish was such a multifacet "experience". First, dive and try to unhook. Second, get help and interact with an adult on their level. Third, get a peer to actually help becase the said adult is busy droning about growth and comfort zones. Fourth, operate the boat machinery. RESULT!!! Well done, two kids from two crazy famiies! PS To add to your thoughts, Nate, I believe the hardest part of this whole shebang is never forgetting how fast kids grow mentally and emotionally in this environment (if you let them). When families start the trip their kids are usual western brats who need a video course on how to wipe their butts. Just a few months later they can operate a dinghy, raise an anchor, make more and more complex decisions on a situation. And the hard part is finding the balance between letting them do too little (OMG, he's only 17, he's too young to push that button) and do too much (you're 5 years old now, Trevor, time for you to learn how to do provisioning). AND IT'S ACTUALLY SO EASY! Just let go. SO easy, right? 😀
