I’m 69 years old and I’ve never been on a cruise and I’ve never been to Alaska. Two things I’ve always wanted to do. One week from now me, my daughter, my sis and bro-in-law will be heading to Vancouver to board Radiance to the Seas for this cruise! We will be stopping at Icy Strait Point and are going to do the zip line! After the cruise end at Seward we are taking to train to Denali for 4 days! I’m very excited about this and I appreciate your videos! Thanks!

We’ve been twice to Icy Strait, Hoonah on Norwegian (NCL). On our 2022 cruise we brought our grandson to celebrate his joining the U.S. Air Force! Like you I booked an excursion on my own and oh wow did I hit a home run with our grandson! He’s an avid fisherman and we went on a fishing trip for halibut! Not to brag but I caught the first fish and biggest! We were only five on the boat, it was personal and our captain was incredible. As we were casting off, I had a distinct feeling of “I’ll be back”! Great video - enjoyed it very much.

Regarding the Windjammer food, that was our experience too on our last Royal cruise on the Symphony. We found the food there to be really lacking and disappointing.

if you have Juneau as a stop.. there is a nice Brass humpback whale statue/fountain I think its called "Whale Project" is near the docks.. towards the bridge that cross over to the other side. But the whale is amazing and its breaching out of the ground and when the water is flowing with a slower shutter speed its AMAZING.. and a must visit.

Hi Dev and Bianca,great footage,the view from your balcony,night and day is amazing.I have travelled on several Royal Caribbean cruises and have had a fab time on each one.I love having a balcony cabin,I feel it makes all the difference,you can relax outside and there is so much wildlife to be seen.The Windjammer buffet food can be a hit or a miss.Thank you for taking us on vacation with you❤️

Love ISP. We did two weeks last summer. One like your weather, the other perfectly clear. It was stunning. I must add, the first week we did the walk from the ship into Hunnah and I felt really exhausted which was strange for me. It’s a decent walk but not bad. Turns out that was the first symptoms of Covid that I tested positive for a couple days later. Strange what you remember but I’ll always remember ISP for my first Covid symptoms. Still loved all of it!

To on a Princess Cruise. We went on 2 cruises with Princess to Alaska and we chose buffet for almost all meals because quality was excellent and we could eat whenever we wanted

I went on this cruise with Royal Caribbean on May 11-19 2023. It was wonderful. I would definitely go again. We did get to go to Skagway and White Pass train ride was tremendous. The Windjammer food was bad. Burgers are too cold. We ate King Crab at Tracey's in Juneau. ❤. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Lately I have been watching alot of Alaska trip videos - by far yours has been the best! We did our Alaska cruise last June, from Seward to Vancouver and had record warm, fantastic weather. We also had a balcony but for someone who loves a balcony, we did not, for some reason hardly use it. Seeing you use yours and your fantastic photography, makes we wish I could „re do“ our trip from last year. Covid restrictions were still hanging over the whole land/cruise trip so it was fun but unfortunatley not „just enjoy!“ - I am reliving everything through your eyes and it has been fantastic. Makes we want to do another Alaska cruise, however we are in Switzerland and the 10 hour time difference and long flying times is a daunting thought to do again! Your music also really helped me to truely relive Alaska to its fullest - thanks!!!

Although any port in Alaska is beautiful, I found Icy Strait Point to be my most memorable. The walk to town, the zip line and the gondola ride are all so breathtakingly beautiful! My family and I were there in June of last year! Thanks for the vlog! Also, great choice of the soothing music.

Absolutely outstanding. We will be doing the same cruise on Norwegian Jewel in 59 more days. I did this cruise back in 1997 on Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas, and I cried at the Awesomeness of Alaska. I swore I would return to Her and now I am at 70 years old with my new husband of 4 years who has never seen Alaska so we put it on our Bucket list and we’re so excited. August is supposed to be amazing there. The sun doesn’t even set till 10 or 10:30 pm and rises again at 4:00 am 😮. That will be an adventure in itself. This will be my 64th cruise and we just did Rome and the Greek Islands last October to cross off a Bucket List cruise. Been pretty much everywhere lots of times but my return to Majestic, Mysterious Alaska is like Being a child at Christmas waiting to open that 1st present 🎁. Thank you for your heartfelt, realistic video of the uncertainty of the weather, the icebergs, the cold June days, the beautiful dark calm nights in the inside passages. If people don’t believe in God, they need to go to ALASKA ❤️🙏🏼🥰😍👏🇺🇸😊❤️

Wonderful capture. When you're in Sitka, take the boat to St. Michael's the Archangel Cathedral. We saw so much wildlife along the shore line and plenty of eagles flying overhead. Alaska is still my favorite cruise. In 2000 we took a Princess ship (can't remember the name anymore) round-trip from San Francisco. It was a 12-day cruise, and included the inside passage. We loved the enrichment programs and the tour. We even walked on a glacier that we had to hike to first. 10 years later that glacier was gone. Get some of the fudge from Ketchican. Super yummy.

If your lucky to go again, try to go towards August or September. Weather is much better unless your really unlucky. My family went in August and we did Zip lining, kayaking and a nice crab tour… awesome!!!!

I watched your recent video about your cruise to Alaska. I travel a lot like yourself and enjoy Royal Caribbean. Out of all of the cruise lines, I think there food is the best. We don't do specialty dining. I think it is a waste of money when the food is free. Royal Caribbean has a sit-down breakfast and lunch with the free food. You don't have to always go to the Windjammer. Anyway, I do like watching your videos. I went to Alaska last year with my family on the Norwegian Encore. It was a great trip!

We are doing Land and Sea package to Alaska with Holland America. 3 nights in Denali Nation Park and 7 day cruise down inside passage from Anchorage to Vancouver. The kayaking excursion looked really fun! The food in Windjammer looked absolutely nasty! It looked like school cafeteria food. When you pay that much to cruise, serving people food that looked like that is not okay. They can definitely it up for sure.😉

Love this video! And your presentation is excellent. So disappointing that RC decided to scrimp on the quality of the included food. We booked an Alaskan cruise with Celebrity sailing the end of this month - I hope we have a better experience. On a lighter note, we are looking forward to eating at some of the local restaurants at the ports. I’ve heard the salmon is amazing.
