The whole point of A.V. Undercover is to see other bands interpret other bands songs. The fun is to hear what happens! If the cover song sounded like the original... what's the point =)

All in all this is one of the better cover songs I've heard on this channel. Great song selection, and I think it was smart to let the drummer handle the chorus. Added their own unique twist to the song too, very impressed. Amazing job!

People who comment here are actually the worst. There was nothing wrong with this cover. Sure his voice isn't for everyone, but Robert Plant and Billy Corgan don't have perfect voices either. And instrumentally it was really good too. This cover even received praise from Counting Crows.

Robert Plant? He has one of the all time rock voices. I agree on Corgan though. This was alright, his vocals are fine. Just a little boring.
@CiabanItReal8 жыл бұрын
IDK the vocals were just off somehow, I dig a good cover, but bands need to try something different when they cover a song. Good covers make me appreciate the original work but still come back to the cover. I'm not sure I would listen to this again, rather than just listen to the original.

I seriously don't know why people are so upset about this. I guess maybe their vocal style, but the verses on Mr. Jones aren't really something you belt out. The original song doesn't do anything to intricate with the vocals during the verses, it makes the chorus have more of a payoff. I don't know I guess if you only listen to cleanly produced stuff it can be jarring, but I personally like to have a little more bite in my rock music.

graytlo From what I can tell, people who refer to others as hipsters generally tend to be people who have no personal style who find it strange when other people DO actually have some sense of style. Like you're confused about why people aren't wearing American Eagle polos, Nikes and cargo shorts and listen to weird bands you've never heard of instead of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, or whatever else is on the most easily accessible, surface-level of the culture.

This was actually a good and interesting cover. One thing I never like, though, is when people change pronouns in the lyrics to fit their gender, or in this case, orientation. Just sing the original words!
@Belgand7 жыл бұрын
Brody Ellis Agreed. As a straight male I have no problem covering a song like "Gigantic" and singing about lusting after a big cock. It's not my words, just a song I'm performing. That's not the place for me to add my own interpretation. In this case, it felt like it was a desire to intentionally make the song more queer. I understand that playing it as written might be interpreted as invisibility, but c'mon, it's a cover. Just play it as written and save that for your own work.

What are you their manager? Perhaps a proud uncle or aunt or relation of some other ilk? This band simply sounds AWFUL here, how on earth can you say that its OBVIOUS that they are all very talented by this performance? I'd guess that It's because you are a fan (and kind of a jerk too) who cannot accept the opinions others, i.e. criticism, about the things you like.
@Tensen018 жыл бұрын
qazwsx32018 Awwww Muffin, I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, I'm sure you're a terrific guitar player. Poor thing, bless your heart. At least I hope you're good at something, because it'll make up for the fact that you're a judgemental jerk who can dish it out but can't take it. Opinions are, by definition, capable of being wrong, and nowhere do you actually give any valid criticism, you were simply a jerk for the sake of being a jerk. But keep deluding yourself into thinking you somehow gave them a valid review. I'm sure it's the only thing that gets you through your miserable life :)
