I saw local hero at the pictures and watched it many times since, without registering Peter Capaldi was in it. As a Geordie who's football team come out to the local hero theme tune - written by mark knopfler of dire straits- i might be able to get to watch the movie again over Christmas, foisting my sons Geordie heritage on to the rest my family. Top result.

I’ve been waiting for an interview like this with Peter! He’s my hero so I love hearing him talk about his life. So interesting hearing him talk about his early life and career. I am nervous and excited for the next parts of this interview especially when he talks about Doctor Who. I hope he has good memories of his time as the Doctor! He has a very relaxing voice. I wish he had his own podcast!

We had Capaldis Cafes in Liverpool I think they were related to Peter's family. They started out as ice cream sellers then opened cafes.
