This trick is amazing! Best workflow for posing and maintaining multires sculpting! I am, however, having a lot of difficulty trying to figure out how to effectively use this trick with multiple subtools. You suggested using Transpose Master, but it isn't really working for me... It would be amazing if you could do a follow-up video with a step-by-step tutorial for using Mixamo and layers to pose a mesh with multiple subtools?? Please 🙏😁

Hi Pablo, you lost your details in the last part when importing the scaled object and rescaling it in ZBrush. You can see the details disappearing when you apply the layer 45:40. I think the import/export options can fix it, or you can invert the scaling before export in Blender. I like to warn people to be cautious when messing around with scale in ZBrush because the only way to avoid traps is to be meticulous.

It shouldn't make a difference, for the purpose of this workflow a mesh is a mesh regardless of the shape

You should do a tutorial just like this but using AccuRIG instead of Mixamo. From the few videos I've seen AccuRIG does a better job. Also maybe pose a more complex character with multiple Subtools just my .02

Hey Pablo, thanks for the tutorial, fantastic as always! Anyway the posing outside of ZBrush method could be applied to a model that has multiple subtools?
@norber64573 жыл бұрын
Mil gracias 👌😉

Wonder if the same can be done with a character that is separated into many subtools.

Yeah you can, you just need to do it through the Transpose Master

Hola Pablo, excelente video, me ayudó bastante.
Жыл бұрын
si te tocaria una layer por cada subtool pero si usas el Tpose master puedes darle click en el switch que dice 'layer' a la hora de volver al otiginal y el plugin te crea las layers en cada subtool

@ Oooh genial!! No sabía eso. Muchas gracias por tu respuesta y tus tutoriales. En verdad que son de muchísima ayuda!

Easy way to deal with multiple subtools, is mask, group mask, merge. If you want after posing then you can split to groups.

Pablo, Thank you so much for this lesson! Liked, subscribed and sharing the link in discord servers I'm currently in. If you were starting a new sculpt would you do all the attachments (extras) for the character before doing the mixamo pose method or after? it almost seems like it could be done either way with this method you came up with. I had no idea layers could be so powerful.
3 жыл бұрын
thanks mate! yeah, either way... I personally would prefer to build everything first but depending on how extreme the pose is, it might be more efficient to sculpt and model an asset after the pose
@antoinevokleber4635 Жыл бұрын
Hi Pablo, thanks for your video.But I had problem with import into layers. I lost the subdivision. In fact, the problem came from the polygroups. It works when i export the Tpose without polygroup.After import/export from Blender, I find the subdivisions after import into layers. Is there maybe an option in blender to manage multi groups for export ?
Жыл бұрын
I'm no sure about the Blender options but maybe you could try using the Tpose for all the subtools?
@pepsidragon12 жыл бұрын
did you try using Blender to make poses with rigify? I fount it much easier to make the pose you want but for some unknown reason, you cant import the model back into Zbrush with out losing your subdivisions, do you know what the problem could be?
@TimV7772 жыл бұрын
Can we use tpose master along with the layers method to sculpt with symmetry after posing? Or does it only work with a single subtool 🤔
@Felix-os5hf2 жыл бұрын
Was also wondering this, did you find out?
@TimV7772 жыл бұрын
@@Felix-os5hf I wasn't able to try it out because I keep going back and froth dynamesh ing and zremeshing this doesn't work with layers. I tried the stager method of "all to home" and then "all to pose" but that just messes up everything. I'm currently at the texturing stage and might then try a simple rig in blender and then parent the subtools to the parts or just pose manually with tpose master. Let me know if you find a good way to do it.
@Felix-os5hf2 жыл бұрын
@@TimV777 Hey, theres a 'layer' button on the transpose master that you can select and it will create a new layer on each subtool containing the new pose data. You can then hide this layer and sculp on the old symmetrical layer and then when you unhide it keeps the sculpting you did. I think think is how it works and not sure if its what you were asking, im really new to zbrush :)

Scaling level 0 is not something I'd recommend since it warps/blurs your upper level details. You can change the size after you import the new level 0, preferably on a separate layer too.

13:21 you're showing the tedious way, why? The easiest way is with the gizmo activated for multiple subtools You must make a Ctrl+Shift Lasso selection for the subtools you wanna move and Ctrl+Shift+Alt for those you don't wanna move. Easy.

@Pablo Muñoz Gómez Every time i take my model to a low sub.D level my layers stop recording and mess up my model.
Жыл бұрын
if you start recording on the highest subdivision level and then go to a lower level they layer will continue to be in recording mode but 'greyed out' until you get back to the highest subdivision level in which you started to record.
