Exactly. Makes no sense for taxpayers to be footing the bill for these risky activities that these companies and their customers voluntarily engage in. If anyone knows the name of the company, I'll find out who the owners are including personal details.

Backcountry SAR in BC is all volunteer, and privately funded through donations, fundraisers, etc.
