What’s a horcrux
@tvens85675 жыл бұрын
Robot Builder In the Harry Potter universe a horcrux is an object in which there’s a part of your soul. In the HP universe you can place a piece of your soul in any object using a spell. The reason why you would want to do this is if you know you’re going to get killed or if you just want to be safe. If you die, you can be resurrected using a horcrux in which you’ve placed a bit of your soul. In the books, the evil Lord Voldemort had seven horcruxes - seven objects into which he placed a part of his soul that had to first be destroyed before he could be killed.

2:00 You've inherited this oil well from Uncle Bubba who plugged it in a very tricky way back in the 1960's when oil was selling for under AU $3.00 US $2.03 a barrel. With oil now over AU $100.00 US $67.65 a barrel the challenge is to unplug the well. You'll know you've got the oil flowing again when you find the barrel of oil. Can you pitch your wits against Uncle Bubba and work out how he plugged the well? You will have to discover a range of tools and work out how to use them, some are very well disguised, to reach the final goal. No physical force at all is required to open the drawer when it’s unlocked. If you find yourself forcing something you are doing something the puzzle was not designed to do

Dear Chris, First off, thank you so much for all your awesome videos. I've been a silent viewer until now, but your content is massively appreciated. I'm in no way, shape or form magically inclined, though your puzzle videos are great fun!! I do, however, have a question and don't know how/where to approach you better, so here goes: I am what is called a Dungeon Master for a game called Dungeons & Dragons (I'm sure you at least heard of it). Now, I run a very versatile game with lots of tactical combat as well as lore/story driven aspects and a gut portion of mystery, traps and ... here it comes ... puzzles. Recently, I've been thinking about including not just the kind of puzzles that are mostly verbal and "in-game", but actually having them find a puzzle box of sorts in some place which solution would then either reveal a magical item that will help them in their endeavors or a clue to some mysterious location or some such. Now, here comes my question. Since I am running all of this on a very low budget, is there any way to "borrow" or "rent" a semi-complex puzzle (should definitely take them at least 20-30 Minutes, they're a smart bunch... 3 IT guys ;) ) or can you recommend one that is relatively difficult and low price? I was thinking about a cryptex, but a visually and haptically high quality item is still somewhat pricy. Also, I live in Germany, if that's relevant at all. In the hopes that you read and maybe have the time to answer. Thanks! Chris
