Nice selection! I have 12V units from Iceco and Dometic; a friend just purchased a smaller BougeRV unit. In all three cases, I recommend placing a separate thermometer inside the compartment. The readout on the fridge's display shows the temperature at the small sensor, but not necessarily the contents. Having separate sensors can provide some peace of mind. Then again, "a man with a watch always knows the time, but a man with two watches is never quite certain." I guess that applies to thermometer readouts, too! 🤣 I use a thermometer with three remote sensors that I can read from the driver's seat. Enjoy!

I have been pleasantly surprised with this unit. Especially with the low power consumption.

@@KM4ACK I'm actually looking at one, but as a small freezer here in the apt. We have very little room, so we can't get much. The freezer in our fridge is a joke. I'd like to see a test using it as a freezer indoors to see how well it works.

I have been running a different single zone unit from BougeRV for a couple of years with no issues. We even bring it in during the holidays when I am not on the road and use it to keep the extra 2 liter drinks cold.

I appropriate you taking the time to tell us about a good product, I was in the market for a 12V fridge last summer, I ended up with the dreaded decision paralysis and I still don't have a fridge.

I was pleasantly surprised with this fridge. VERY pleased so far. I'll do a long term follow up next year. That will release in my newsletter that drops each Tuesday.

Great stuff ! Many have BougeRV products and love them. I got their 200 watt solar panel. It is great ! They have a nice solar charge controller. I love the 2000 watt 12V inverter . works super. Easy RV install with remote panel . That Rocky 55 is great for off grid cabin as well. 12V system is the most common in the world. Bigger systems then go 24/48V . BougeRV for the win when grid goes down ! 73

Do these units use an inert gas & compressor, or do they use a Peltier junction?
@KM4ACKАй бұрын
as far as I know it's a compressor
@kg4gavАй бұрын
These are true compressor units. I have been running a different version (single zone, 30 QT) unit in my truck for about 2 years with zero issues.
