I would love to come in person. Thank you for keeping all these cars,no matter what condition they may be in. People don't realize just how special these vehicles are. Keep up the good work.

I have always loved Henry J’s and Kaisers. All the ones I have seen were in pretty rough shape. These are beautiful 🤩 Someone is going to love these in their collection. It will be awesome to see these in person

Look at the bumpers for scratchers from people tying shoes with a foot up on the bumper and that is an original car .

I believe the Kaiser is a Carolina model. They came out with the Carolina with less trim on it then the regular Kaisers. No full wheel covers, hub caps. Also, the dip at the top of the front and rear windows was referred to as the Darrin Dip. It was one of his styling cues. And since Kaiser didn't have a V8 they bought Continental sixes, Kaiser used styling and color to bring in customers. The Carolina was trying to bring down the price to be more competitive.

The Kaiser is a '51 Kaiser Special. The Carolina was a '53 only model. Great car just the same.

Kaiser was somewhat under capitalized and needed to save construction costs wherever possible. They created a 2 door sedan from the regular 4 door sedan. They just welded the rear doors closed. Most car builders made 2 door versions with longer front doors, to make rear seat entry and exit easier. The only other 2 door car I've seen like the Kaiser was the Morris Marina from British Leyland in the '70s.

Very nice car and great example of an original Henry J but I have to take issue with the comment that "everything under [the hood] is original." The air cleaner is not an original 4 cylinder Henry J air cleaner. But I'm knit-picking! It's a great Henry J. I hope it found a good home.

Don't think it was painted the original color either.Looks like it was tan.
@mrsgstd589 Жыл бұрын
@@carlinshowalter1806 It's called Mariner gray, a common '51 Henry J color which often fades to a bit of a tan hue. I'm sure it's original.
@jerryriggedadventures317311 ай бұрын
@@mrsgstd589could be clay pipe gray. More of a tan
