EV is future. Now EV vechicle coming more.But vechicle prices not reduced. Still there is no subsidy from government. Only benifit in road tax. Charging in long drive is a concern. Those who want to travel from Kerala to Chennai or Bangalore in weekend once in a month with in 10 to 12 hours. Petrol is best and It will give 16 to 18 milage. Average 15k kilometres drive in an year we spent 1lack rupees as fuel cost. In 5 years 75k kilometres driven Petrol Nexon automatic total expenses is 15lacks. Same 15lacks initially needed for Nexon EV base model. If we have solar plant in home it may create additional 2 Lacks expense. That 2 lacks can be used for buying petrol for another 2 years. So after 7 years Petrol Nexon complete 1lack 5k kilometres. If we buy an EV Nexon and Solar plant with Bank loan and pay as EMI for 7 years. Total cost would be 22.5 lacks and same time Petrol Nexon in EMI for 7 years cost would be 13 lacks + 7 lacks for Petrol. No one will buy petrol from Bank loan. So 7 years ownership Petrol price may hike and we can expect similar hike in EV charging price. So EV will be profitable for those have daily drive up to 50 to 100km or yearly have 30k kilometres.

Solar is not combination of ev. 3 lakhs investment for 5 kw ongrid power. Now Re 1 per km, considering present maximum tarif. So need to drive 3 lakh kilometres to save the same.

What will be the approximate bill hike in electric bill for a non solar customer ? At present netmetering is implemented by KSEB .If they switches to gross metering solarnadvantage will diminish . I own EV and monthly usage is around 2000 to 2300 kms..I'm yet to install solar but will be doing it in next couple of months. Coming to your question, my EB bill has been increased by 2500 rupees after buying EV. No outside fast charging used also. My petrol cost used to be more than 15k per month now its reduced to 2500 only. There are pros and cons but it's individual to decide what best suited as per his/her requirements.

I owned max ev. I am not using Solar. I drove minimum 74 per day, my current bill will be 6000/- RS more compare to normal bill. but saved 10000/- rs compared to my old diesel swift car. I THNK If I have solar panel the running Cost will be zero.
