Key has a photographic memory, that is why he can watch anyone dance any choreography for the first time and he has the key points and most of the choreography down perfect by the time the performance ends. And I literally mean ANY dance from anyone. In school he was a member of the dance club, which was actually paid to go to other schools and perform for special events. So one of the main reasons why SM chose him as a trainee was for his dancing. That's why Key is the king of girl group dances and why he is so good at memorizing lyrics, etc. It's also why he is the ace of the variety game show Amazing Saturday, which he has been a regular cast member on for 4 seasons. On the show he has far surpassed anyone else in number of most correct song lyrics, even though he had to take a year and a half off to serve in the military, and several of the cast members have been there for all 5 seasons. You often hear Key on Amazing Saturday say, "I can remember when I saw that group performing their song for the first time and I remember reading the lyrics." (You can see him literally remembering the lyrics as he saw them in his head.) No matter how long ago that might have been. Just watch some of of the episodes of Amazing Saturday, and you will see groups come on the show to debut a new song and dance that NO ONE has ever seen or heard before, and by the time the group is done performing, Key will be able to sing the song and perform the choreography just like if he was a member of the group. That's how good he really is. Key is the one that all the SHINee members go to when they need help remembering lyrics or the choreography for any of their dances. I often see him even helping Taemin remember the choreography during rehearsals, etc. Taemin actually has difficulty memorizing and understanding choreography when he first starts to learn a new dance. If you ever watch the reality show he did called Why Not the Dancer? with Eunhyuk from Super Junior, Gikwang from Highlight and Jisung from NCT-Dream or any of Taemin's or SHINee's concert documentaries, or behind the scenes content, etc., you will see that when Taemin is learning a new set of choreography he is usually the slowest to really grasp the dance. It takes him some time to process the moves and understand the concept behind the dance because he really analyzes every move and it has to make sense within the storyline of the performance. What makes Taemin such a brilliant dancer is that once he understands the basics of the dance, he can take what he learned and transform it into something that is completely his own. This is what makes Taemin such a good teacher because he really understands how to breakdown a dance to make it easy to understand and grasp. He can explain the moves because he understands the process. Where other dancers might not be great at explaining things because they just repeat the moves they are shown, Teamin thinks about every finger movement and tick as an extension of the story and there has to be a reason for everything. Which is also probably why Key is so good at English and Japanese, etc. His photographic memory helps him to remember the proper way to pronounce things and he is able to really absorb how a native speaker would say something. Designing SHINee's concert outfits, MV fashion and comeback stage looks is one of the reasons why SM gave Key the title of SM's Director of Fashion. SM actually consults Key when it comes to fashion concepts and things to do with certain projects. Key is literally a professional fashion designer. He creates powerpoint presentations and storyboards where he draws out and explains every little detail of all the outfits he creates for SHINee and any of his solo projects, etc. He takes his fashion design work very seriously. Which is why he is one of the most sought after Idols by some of the most trendy fashion designers because they know if they can get Key to endorse them by wearing their clothing, it will most likely start a trend, which will have them blowing up and selling out, etc. Key is friends with a lot of people within the fashion industry as well. That is why all the SHINee members are top tier at everything they do, they are all genius level at each of their specific skill sets.

Yay, SHINee is back!! \o/ Although KEY is not my bias, I LOVE him!!! If I could choose one member to be friends with, it would definitely be him 😍🥰 I don't know if I'm still very excited about Gasoline's comeback, but I think KEY has finally managed to reach a high plateau of recognition!! He deserves SO MUCH!! 💖 Sometimes I think he gets a little overshadowed within SHINee as all the members are very talented and once I saw the perfect definition of this situation: KEY is a wonderful all-rounder within a group of 4 experts.
