My wonderful, beautiful Mother (RIP - March 13, 2020) bequeathed me her gorgeous Rolex watch. It is the gold with the diamonds around the face. I store it in an electric rotation box that rotates the watch circular in two directions when I am not wearing it. I am so honored to have it. And this is a very tough time for me as this is the anniversary of her passing. I so enjoyed this video. My brother purchased the blue sub-mariner Rolex back in 1994. Still stunning as well. Bless you and keep up the hard work!

You may be right Paul, but with Omega timing the 2024 swimming, it will be given great exposure (Omega) and the watch is getting rave reviews.Even has the splash of Red writing on it and it really Pop's. Agree, one watch has genuine heritage, the other until 2015 was a complete failure. Daytona only recently became a flex. There are better Rolexes, with heritage. And as used buy, Daytona competes with brands that have high heurology and suburb finishing. Daytona is terrible value for money compared to other Rolex models, or other brands. It's got Cosmograph on from the days they were pitching and failed to make Nasa shortlist. Most Rolex at list, except for solid gold versions, are good value. This is popular for being popular.

I agree because not only is it a beautiful timepiece but a quarter of the price of a daytona. It's the only watch that made me want to step into the Omega boutique for a chrono over secondary market for a panda Daytona...because of the appearance and price...money talks 💯💯💯

The problem with Gold bullion, especially Krugerrands and sovereigns, the prices change on a daily basis. I didn't realise the price changes four times every day, and a bit like the Stock Market, unless your a broker or serious player, then getting the very best price, is very difficult. Unlike timepieces, whose value remain fairly static, Gold on the other hand, fluctuates up and down like a Yo Yo. Stick with watches, as Gold is a very long term investment, where you have to have your eyes on the ball, every day.

That Brown diamond dial Rolex with the two toned bracelet looks very classy and you can wear with a nice suit or casual clothes without looking out of place, unlike the full 18 carat gold Rolex watches as you always have to wear dressy clothes .

If you have smaller wrists (below 6" like me) the 116500 @ 38.5mm diameter and slender lugs fits FAR BETTER on the wrist than the new 'Maxi Case' 40mm diameter 126500, the lugs are noticeably bigger and flatter....so from a wearing experience the 116500 is still The King, the one key upgrade for the new range is the movement, NOT the aesthetics IMO x

As for the bezel edge, I bought my wife a new 126515 with Everrose bezel edge. First time she wore it, she dented it in three places and now feels sick about it. She refuses to wear it because she hates that it is so easy to damage. What a horrible design … may look good (to you, not me) but horribly impractical. The worse of the old Daytona where the bezel edge was precisely where you look to determine amount of wear. I’ll stick with my 116500 (black and white), 116518 PN and 116519 ghost with the monoblock cerachrome bezel that protects the watch.

That’s about 6% per year. I’m not sure if that’s what I call a good investment. After paying insurance and all the worried it get stolen or damaged. Better to put the money in the bank or look into other investments options
