Thank you for being real. I constantly feel guilty for not working (I literally contribute £0) but we decided as a family that this is best for us and it means that my husband can just focus on his job but I feel so much pressure that because i am a stay at home mum that EVERYTHING is my job…. And that nothing can ever be dirty, not done, no one not fed well… my thought process is “if it can be done it should be done” but my god that’s so much pressure. What makes you a good parent is that you acknowledge your mistakes… there are unfortunately a lot of parents that never do. You are real and your kids will thank you for that and will benefit hugely from that later on. You are exactly where you need to be and if you want more from your life, wait until you are in a better more positive state of mind to make any big decisions 🙏 sending so much love ❤️

I relate to this so much, I’m always questioning if I’m a terrible mum as I’m so impatient and struggle to be present. I just got diagnosed with adhd at 29 and have another waitlist for medication and I’m just really hoping that will help me not get so overwhelmed and function a lot better. Everything you’re saying I think every mum feels but no one talks about it so it’s brilliant that you’re comfortable putting this out there so we’re not all assuming everyone else has it all together all the time ❤
@sophielouisetaylor406919 күн бұрын
@@zoelouisepritchard I hope you find peace with that! I 100% have adhd I should probably get the ball rolling with it tbh I think it would help! My brother got diagnosed about 2 years ago at 33 years old and maybe we have more similar traits than I ever realized 😂

@@sophielouisetaylor4069 as far as I know there is a hereditary aspect as I only looked into it when they were doing a SEN assessment for my son and my best friend was diagnosed. I went through my gp who referred me via right to choose but it still took nearly 15 months to get an assessment which finally came through after I’d chased it up with my doctor which could have been a coincidence but was a week later. Another estimated 7-10 months for medication but then hopefully I can taper off my antidepressants I’ve been on for a decade 😂 I really hope you’re doing well and make sure to take care of yourself and prioritise you too! ☺️

Please never say you're not entitled to feel this way because you absolutely are. You could have all the money and assets in the world and STILL feel lost. Please know you're doing amazing - as a parent, wife and business owner/employee. You do a lot and spin many plates. Ride this low out and focus on you and what makes you happy. If it helps, i've felt the same lately! Mum of 1, 31 this week, work part-time, no money worries, yet i've still felt flat/lost. I think it's normal but of course, not a good feeling! I hope you’re ok girl 🤎 influencer culture has the whole world gripped atm everything seems so superficial, things look more disingenuous and competitive by the minute. I feel like you’re maybe subconsciously realising that that’s not what you align with as a person as someone who’s on the internet a lot of the things you said seemed like that! I feel the same I have 1 close friend who lives 200 miles away from me in Yorkshire 🤦🏽♀️ it really just be my 2 kids, partner I feel like I wanna be around and in my free time I enjoy walking, the gym, going for a coffee on my own and people watching 😂 oh and I also get mum rage quite bad from time to time my 3 year old who has a very big personality came to me to show me my own flaws, how much patience I lack & probably mirrored me as a person even though I found parenting quite triggering at times! But also shown me a whole lot of love and growth! You’re doing amazing xxx
