That's the Way Love Goes" is one of Janet Jackson's biggest hits in the United States and around the world…It was one of the longest-reigning hits of 1993, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks, To date, it is the longest running number-one single of any member of the Jackson family on the Hot 100. The “Janet” album produced many hits including this one.

Janet has always made dance and love songs throughout her 51-year career in entertainment. This is just 1 of her many hits in the 90s. As you continue to review her catalog of videos, you will enjoy the many facets of Janet. JLO has said that Janet was a huge influence for her getting into the entertainment industry , and of course, Janet was a television actress at 9 years old before her music career began in the 80s. One of the great things about Janet is how she always brings her team front and centre. All the women in this video are her dancers from this time and they regularly featured with her in everything she did at the time. She also had one of the most highly respected choreographers, Tina Landon, who is the woman sitting by the coffee table with the short brown hair and the white halter top. 90’s Janet was phenomenal and any girl I knew watched the videos on repeat to be able to copy the dancing. Truly special from all of them.

J.Lo was started as a fly dancer on In Living Color
@benjaminvlz5 ай бұрын
Amber would be correct. Jennifer Lopez began her career as a dancer, performing with artists, such as MC Hammer and New Kids on the Block, as well dancing in other artists music videos. She was one of the Fly Girls on seasons 3 and 4 of the sketch comedy TV series, In Living Color, but left the show to become a backup dancer for Janet Jackson before breaking out as an actress and singer. J-Lo has a pretty extensive filmography, spanning from 1993 to the present day. Her roles as Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in the 1997 biopic, "Selena," and Ramona Vega in the 2019 film, "Hustlers," both earned her Golden Globe nominations. You should check out some of her films, as well as her music catalog. She's put out a number of hit songs over her career.
@bluedragon45 ай бұрын
JLO used ghost singers, her movies weren't great, and she a well documented mean girl. Pass on her.
@benjaminvlz5 ай бұрын
@@bluedragon4 Correction: Jennifer Lopez used background singers. For example, Ashanti recorded reference tracks for "I'm Real (Remix)" and "Ain't It Funny (Remix)," a common practice in the music business, and they kept Ashanti's background vocals in the final mixes, but it's J-Lo singing the lead vocals. This was done on a number of J-Lo tracks. "Ain't Your Mama" features background vocals from Meghan Trainor, who co-wrote the song, and recorded the demo. It's a common practice for recording artists to use background singers on their tracks. The whole "ghost singer" rumor was started by people who know nothing about the music business. The rumor has been debunked by producers and singers who worked with J-Lo, but people like you wanna keep it going. Secondly, how you feel about J-Lo's filmography is your opinion. And if her movies weren't great, she wouldn't have earned two Golden Globe nominations. Lastly, J-Lo might have a "diva" attitude, but so does Mariah Carey and a bunch of other celebrities when the fame and success goes to their heads. So what? It doesn't take away from her talent, which you don't seem to think she has. J-Lo wouldn't be where she is today without some level of talent.

Jennifer Lopez started as a Flygirl in the show In Living Color. Which btw, is a must watch. Now that is comedy!!!

No one ever notices Jennifer Lopez in this video. She was one of Janet's dancers at one point. See if you can spot her with her french style hair. I absolutely loved this one when it came out. Canadian Grandma Lori. C

Everyone notices. I like her hair color here. Looks nice and shiny and healthy.

This album was the one that made me a big janet fan. I feel like she grew up and finally grew out of Michael’s shadow with her own mega star power. Loved it and many others on this album.

Classic Janet and she's still bringing it - going back on tour. As for J-Lo, you should definitely add Let's Get Loud and Love Don't Cost a Thing.
