watched "This is Us" TV show, and the show borrowed from your teachings to make an amazing and wonderful point about fatherhood and the community of men our sons need to grow and mature. the cast and producers referenced afterward that the idea came from a real martial arts dojo, and I wanted to check it out. long story, but really, just wanted to say how moved and in awe I am of what you are accomplishing with your students. thank you for bringing light into the lives of these kids.

As a single mom raising my children without a father figure in their lives, I'm tremendously grateful for your willingness to invest in these boys and their families. It's not easy to find men willing to shoulder even a portion of the responsibility of another man's children, let alone commit to helping them grow into men of integrity and good character and to model that behavior for them. I have 3 nephews, one 5 year old whom I’ve never met, another who’s just under 1 years old, who I see but cannot communicate with because his mother and I have not spoken in years and the last is only 6 months and I see him every week, and his father and I are extremely close. I wish I could give the gift of being apart of this academy to them in the future. Especially the 5 year old because he already has neglect and abandonment issues he responds to with anger from what I’m told. The investment I have set up for them to inherit is nothing compared to what this will do for their mind body and soul. Maybe I can bring the ones who can come during during summer vacations for the 90 breaks the schools give. Hopefully in the future. That would be some dope childhood memories, traveling from California to spend your summers at Cave313 building your entire person 😍
