Lizzie , Congratulations for chatting that long to camera. It isn’t easy , but your confidence has improved so much . It was like we were all sitting opposite you with a coffee and a Kit Kat . I shall give Bridgerton a go. Some of the scenes were shot in my home town of Bath. During shooting, it was hilarious going to the pub ,having a pint surrounded by people in period clothing, on their mobiles. Loved the camel coat , really beautiful. M.

I liked the White Floral dress, very elegant. I don`t wear dresses any more... Mainly because I am a 18 stone Truck driving Male!!!... :-)) ps: a little tip for security, you could buy a pocket size torch. they are very very bright, good for checking things on the boat at night, and when shone into the eyes it is uncomfortable, to upset any intruders... Take care and stay safe :-))) xx

Thank you! Yes I've been told by other boaters to get a bright torch

That was a fascinating insight into the finer points of benjaminvintagefinds.. The vintage finds you showed us reminded me of mothers and aunties who used to wear similar items. Well done you, I hope you find more. Now I have given my age away haven't I. PS. The editing of the video and sound was amazing. Well done you.

Look out for auctions. In the UK there are lots of local auctions and they often deal with house clearances. Grandmother has died so relatives take valuables and keepsakes and the furniture and clothing etc often ends up at auction. Sure you might buy a box of junk but there might also be few gems in it, You should get a chance to preview anyway so you have a least some idea of what a particular Lot contains. Charity shops too, people often donate Granny's clothes there and the prices are normally very good, some are even online as are some auctions.

Great to see you and your new items. Loved the video too . If you are looking for these types of clothes you would be better finding a house clearance. Only because the french don't like to spend money and their wardrobes will be full of 40s 50s 60s fashions 😍

Well as soon as there are house clearings again I will have to go!

Sleeve on that first one is dolman, not batwing. Jonathan Logan is an extremely well-known label and common in America. American ebay is the best source for clothing, but these days, not the cheapest. If you're going to buy from there, get yourself a mailing service, something that holds/collates/repacks and sends in bulk for you- it'll be too expensive otherwise. I have been in this business for a long time. There are lots of groups on FB that you probably should be in- start with OLLVSASS. Happy to answer any questions you may have :)

Thank you very much, I'm still learning all the right terminology! Yes, I have a quick look on eBay USA sometimes, but as I live in France I always worry about postage and customs. I'm part of a lot of French and English vintage groups on FB, but I'll have a look at the one you suggested xx

Do you find that French prices for vintage items are a lot more expensive than say English vintage?
@BenjaminVintageFinds4 жыл бұрын
I think English vintage is easier to find and much cheaper, I find a lot of vintage on Ebay Uk but when I have a look on Ebay Fr there is nowhere near the same amount of vintage and the few bits are very expensive. However, the French car boot sales have some great finds and for very cheap, when there are car boot sales..
