A Visit To Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles

As of 2013, U.S. News & World Report ranked Cedars-Sinai #13 out of hospitals across the United States and #3 in the western United States, behind only UCLA Medical Center and UCSF Medical Center. Cedars-Sinai also earned national rankings in 12 adult specialties including #5 for gastroenterology, #9 in cardiology and heart surgery, #9 in orthopedics, #10 in urology, #12 in gynecology, #14 in diabetes and endocrinology, and #14 in neurology and neurosurgery. Located in the Harvey Morse Auditorium, Cedars-Sinai's patient care is depicted in the Jewish Contributions to Medicine mural. The heart transplantation program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has experienced unprecedented growth since 2010. Statistically, Cedars-Sinai currently performs more annual heart transplants than any other medical center in the world, having performed 95 heart transplants in 2012 and 87 in 2011.

This hospital saves lives and is so important to me I’m a patient of this hospital and they have great staff and i have a kidney transplant great kidney team very understanding and they real do care about every single patient who comes here this is my second home and they are so helpful and amazing i love cedar’s sinai ❤

As patients we deserve better. I was treat it like i didn't deserved the chance. I was homeless dey turned me away. TRANSFERRED me miles away somewhere in long beach... Yea long beach community HOSPITAL shitty ass HOSPITAL. But like i say if your insurance its worth millions your health its a PRIORITY. If not your health ain't WORTH shit... We d one's with shitty ass insurance deserved nothing not even a second chance... Now day's STAYING HEALTHY ITS A LUXURY alot of hospitals are doing just dat.. Look at CEDAR SINAI. UCLA.R.R. STANFORD. UCSF. VEGAS AREA. SUMMERLIN. CENTENNIAL EVEN U.M.C. EVEN THE COUNTY HOSPITALS ARE TRYING TO DO THE SAME. USC.UCLA. HARBOR UCLA IN TORRANCE. SAN MATEO COUNTY HOSPITAL. U.M.C COUNTY HOSPITAL IN LAS VEGAS.

Regardless, I'm pleased to see this world-renowned medical center's sprawling campus and Cleveland Clinic still retain a more ' human scale ' than other giant medical centers. As so many other prestigious healthcare institutions (Ex: Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Texas Medical Center, Northwestern Medicine, Etc.) have morphed, their main campuses resemble towering office parks more than conventional medical campuses.
