After having to deal with DMOD I completely know what you mean by enemy territory. I am fully in support of your channel!

Definitely like that '90s aesthetic going on. A neat mall in a rather unsuspecting area, given how industrial Dundalk is.

So glad you covered EastPoint, Doomie. It looks like a totally different place than what I knew in the 70s, I guess bc it sadly is. Once the fountain, Silbers & the pizza place left inside the front entrance, it lost something. And when Hoschild Kohn and Hutztlers left, the place lost the rest of it's heart & soul for me. Thanks for filling in the history and the update. Great job as always

In my opinion I don't see anything wrong with the video I think you did one hell of a job I loved it

In the 80s this place was my 2nd home. Wild Dog for good polish bot dogs, right across from Aladdin's Castle while my mom shopped in JC Penny's or Sears. York Steak House for dinner (i loved their chocolate pudding!). I remember a kids clothing store in the middle that had a pink slide. I'd pick up magazines from Waldenbooks beside Arby's. I miss those days...😢

I went here in Jan 2020 and apparently the food court is a common place for WW2 vets to meet up and chat about the war and other stuff. Also the former Ames was used as a Haunted House for Halloween season when I was there.

It is hard to tell what shops are empty with all the gates down but I can tell there are quite a few vacancies. Looks like there is some life left in there though.

The beautiful Galleria at Harborplace is now closed but this dump is still open? What a shame. Grew up in Dundalk but got out as fast as I could. Nice tour though….brings back memories of me very young in the 70’s and early 80’s going to Eastpoint with my late Grandma. I remember the fountains full of coins as you walked in that are long gone.

Eastpoint has been dying since I started working at Sears in White Marsh Mall (not terribly far away). On the east side of Baltimore County, this was the Salvation Army of malls.

I go there for the JC Penney Sales in men's Dept. Go in September and get the 75-80% off Adidas Puma Nike etc. Eastpoint Mall isn't a bad place to go. It's clean and has some good stores

I did see a hint of neon still hanging on, that brings this mall up a few points for me. I think the mall still has a place, but anchoritis is a bad sickness to have.

I find it interesting that they had an Ames at this mall because of the well known abandoned Ames literally down the road.

Working with what they had back in the day. Did what they thought was the right thing to do. It worked for a while.

I oddly missed this video months ago, so better late than never I'm finally watching this. Question, was Crafty Crab a former Applebee's? It certainly looks like a former one, though I'm not 100% sure on that. Thanks, if you can answer my question there. And what former store is in the picture, at 14:50?

They should put a super Walmart and a Target inside East point Mall and Best buy it would definitely increase traffic my family use to go East Point Mall regularly during early 90s & mid 90s and early 00s it was Ames and Sears and KB Toys and Game Stop and Value City and Footlocker 2002 and 2004 I went with my family East Point Mall myself I go to East Point Mall regularly until 2014 I prefer to going to White Marsh Mall because it was close range to a Best buy I preferred Towson Town center just a better shopping experience but mostly I go to where they have the former Golden Ring Mall which is now the shopping center at Golden Ring when they have a super Walmart in all you had to do was catch the bus and you can go straight to White Marsh Mall with no problems I just wish eastpoint Mall had a super Walmart inside that mall and a Best buy

DOOMED like all malls. The same problem exists in all malls. Too large of a space to replace those great colossal stores of the past. Sears, Bon Ton and others. I believe most malls will end up being turned into apartments.
@KesorodaBlk2 жыл бұрын
The most attractive venue to me in this mall were the arcade and the Video Game store, GameStop.
