It's a very patient woman who let you bring her to a market on her holidays. Harry has great plans for the future.

Interesting one today, thanks for putting it together. Even the sheep were silent during the minute of silence, I loved that

Great video as always. I love it when you go around the different markets. Harry is definitely going to be a farmer, when he gets older. I think Harry will get 🐄 cows and sheep 🐑.Why does it always 🌧 rain when you go on holiday. At least it is 😊 nice to get away.TakeCare and KeepSafe.🥰😷😀🦋🏴🐄🐓

Perhaps Harry needs to spend a day with Farmer P & Abbi next time they are working the sheep.

Brilliant video Rich. Well done. This is what Countryfile really should be all about. I really enjoy your videos; it’s so interesting to hear from real people involved in the farming world and their views and experience. Thank you so much for filming and sharing. Keep up the great work and hope you had a good rest and a great holiday.

I really enjoy your videos. Raised in a Texas city myself. But spent summers on Gandpa's sheep farm as a little girl. Have done plenty nut and tail bobbing with Grandpa, back in the day. Memories from so long ago,, come back as sweet. Enjoy your holiday!

Lovely video and great respect is shown in the farming community 👍👍👍. Glad you enjoyed yourselves in Devon. I'm from Southwest Devon from a little town called Newton Abbot, We sort of still have a livestock market dating back to 1221 (800years). It was due to be completely demolished for development but the locals got the pitch forks out!. Not as big as it used to be but we still have one luckily. But there were plans for a hotel we don't want or need so who knows if it will stay, I doubt it. Nice vid time to get Harry some sheeps for the orchard! 😁😁🐑🐑🐑🐑

Richard has some calves that the boys help him with now. I wonder how big they are? Farmer P weaned his cattle this week; moved them across the road. Funky Farmer calves should be ready soon.

I’m remember going to Salisbury market with my uncle selling pigs every now and then loved it then with a friend selling cows at Taunton market good old days …I think Harry’s going to make a good little farmer one day 👍🏽 crack on!!!!!

Good day, Richard! Thank you for showing us the markets. It is nice for us to see you having a "farmer's holiday!" Looking at sheep instead of cattle! That was a surprise. It's amazing seeing the Land Rovers pulling the trailers. Do you have a stock trailer too? I know you have a Land Rover. I think Farmer P does too.

yes we have a stock trailer for moving cattle

If Harry gets some sheep you will be like Farmer P when he talks about the abbies sheep and how he looks after them for her. He loves sheep really ha ha ha

Oops! I hadn't thought about that. Fortunately, they are easier to manage than cattle when you are moving them about.

I couldn’t see the bidding between them, and I still have no idea how much a lamb cost 👍 Harry should have a ewe for his Birthday, as a pet - he’d learn a lot, big future for Harry in farming I think. No more dipping? That’s madness, I’ll have to check up on that one. Great atmosphere, it’s something I remember from my younger years labouring, and it’s no different than the family spirit amongst armed forces - work is work and you just crack on, and play can sometimes affect work, but rarely! Great upload. Nice to see the tribute for the guy who passed away, good community spirit alive and well in South Molton, Devon!
@thefunkyfarmer2 жыл бұрын
yes the bidding was hard to see even when i was there. It's very discrete and i didn't want to be obtrusive but putting the camera into faces. My only regret with this video is that i didn't get to speak to any of the buyers. You can usually look up auction reports online for prices

Amazing coincidence; we were camping just outside South Molton last weekend and walked through the (empty) market to find a restaurant! If you find yourself there again I can recommend Zest on Broad St. :D

Bit of a tip for audio quality at your desktop. You have 2 speakers yeah? Put 1 either side of your screen. It makes a much nicer sound, especially for music. They're supposed to be placed apart for panning. Hope that helps!
