Simply the best! 👏 This is one of our favorites! Nobody shows the stores these days, it's only walking without ever stopping. Congrats!!! 👍

Thanks. I think a lot of the walking tours these days are made by people who don't know what they are filming, they just walk around. I do know what I'm filming, since I live in Paris, and I even provide narration with closed captions for people who want it.

I love all your videos, but this one is my favorite! I've been toParis 3 times, yet managed to miss rue Montorgueil. La prochaine fois...

gosh, I used to live in Paris for several years when I was much younger. I used to go back regularly but now old age is keeping me home bound. When in Paris one would have to be able to walk the sidewalks and up and down the Metro stairs. Now I can just dream and remember and watch movies like this one

Saudades!!!!

Thanks for another great video. I saw this street in a book and thought I'd see if you had a video of it and of course you do. I will be checking out this area in a couple of months. It looks like an interesting street. I enjoy Rue Cler. It is quieter so for me a great place to stay.

Thanks! I like this street because it's very popular with Parisians but hardly known to tourists (although there are still some tourists on the street, as there are everywhere in Paris).

Absolutement! I loved Montorguiel much much more than Rue Cler...wonder why "that guy" likes Rue Cler so much??? Have to admit his book was my bible for both trips there. However, everyone MUST read "French or Foe" to understand French culture and it made me love Paris even more!

Rick Steves likes the rue Cler because he doesn't realize that there are hundreds of streets like that in Paris. It's normal in Paris, not a magic exception.

Not in different seasons, as I recall, but definitely at different times. The different bits of footage were not photographed that far apart, but the weather can change a lot from week to week in Paris.

LOL! C'EST VRAIMENT L'HOPITAL QUI SE FOUT DE LA CHARITé! Y A PAS PLUS BOBO BCBG QUE MONTMARTRE: LES GENS CROIENT QU'IL SUFFIT DE S'Y INSTALLER POUR DEVENIR UN GRAND ARTISTE! JE DETESTAIS DEJA MONTMARTRE IL Y A 25 ANS! A MONTORGUEIL IL Y A TOUTES LES CLASSES SOCIALES: C'EST CA LE PEUPLE! ET LES PRIX SONT PAS CEUX DU 7EME OU 16EME, TU DIS VRAIMENT N'IMPORTE QUOI! LE MARCHé QUOTIDIEN C'EST POUR CEUX QUI CUISINENT EUX MEMES: PAS DES BOBOS QUI SE FONT LIVRER PAR LES NEO ESCLAVES IMPORTES A BICYCLETTE OU MANGENT AU RESTAURANT! C'EST PAS UN QUARTIER DE TOURISTES A RESTAURANTS COMME ST MICHEL, MONTPARNASSE OU LA RUE DE LA ROQUETTE! VA TE RHABILLER, TU CROIS QUE TU T'ADRESSES A UN PROVINCIAL QUI N'Y CONNAIT RIEN? J'AI HABITé DIX ANS A PARIS, JE CONNAIS TOUS LES QUARTIERS ET ST-DENIS AUSSI! TU EN CONNAIS BEAUCOUP DES RUES PIETONNES A PARIS? EVIDEMMENT QUE CA ATTIRE CERTAINS TOURISTES ET C'EST SUREMENT PAS LES PLUS CONS ET SNOBS COMME TOI! POUR DENIGRER CE JOYAU POPULAIRE SANS PRETENTION ET A ECHELLE HUMAINE ET TRADITIONNELLE (PAS DE VOITURE, DES MARCHES DIGNES DU MOYEN AGE AVEC DES PRODUITS DE FRANCE FRAIS) EN PRETENDANT QUE C'EST SNOB FAUT QD MEME ETRE UN PEU CON, DESOLé! VU TON DISCOURS DENIGRANT SUR LES GENS QUE TU CROISES, TU M'AS L'AIR D'UN SACRé PARANO BOURRé DE PRÉJUGÉS! CQFD

Starbucks is successful because it sells coffee to go and sells it in large cups, which traditional French cafés do not do. In the French cafés, you only get little cups, and you have to drink the coffee right on the spot.

well dear friend i don't thank you for this vidéo who has and may continue to bring loads of fat-assed and uncultured northamericans tourist asking for the nearest kfc or Mc do. Yah i know it is kind of cliché and i love america. I love the concept i mean, also the popular culture and the fact that without Walt Whitman, Michael Jackson, John Coltrane, Russel Banks, jello Biafra or Martin Scorsese just to quote what is coming to mind as i write, Life would have never been the same. wel instead of admiring what is left of our multi secular culture unrban and architecturally speaking (considering that nearby is forum des halles who was a hideous construction now being revisited) you should, stand up for your country and its urbanism wich has turn your great nation to rubbish, horrible malls and soulfree urbanism. check this conference out from a felow citizen of yours (the video is in english : dai.ly/x2nkdqkd
