I was there over Christmas and it was super snowy (as you can see), so I think there should be, but the weather can be a little unpredictable. You can check out their live cam and see what it looks like around that time (shinhotaka-ropeway.jp/), maybe that helps? :)

Towards the end of the video after the restaurant, you went out to the snowy area and walked about a bit. How do you access this open area? Thanks for a great video!

On the 4th floor, there is an exit called "Mountaineering starting point" if you exit from there that is where I walked around for a bit in the snow :)

I went last Christmas, that is 2020. Are you currently in Japan? In case you are not, here in Japan the situation before January was still kinda ok, the Japanese Government actually promoted travelling and many hotels were giving discounts up to 70% of the original price. It felt save to travel, although I tried to avoid crowded places and being indoors.
