I am glad they mentioned that save Dryden made against Pappin in the 1971 finals - Game 7......I know Jim said it kept him awake at night for years.

have to be good to be lucky . lucky to be good . also remember Bobby Hull drilled a high slap shot from between the blueline and centerline that hit the goal post had Dryden beat cleanly

actually it was a wicked wrist shot from Hull from just above the slot that hit the crossbar. To make things even worse, the puck defected down after hitting the crossbar meaning it missed by a micro meter.

Goalies hated to see Pappin coming in on a breakaway. He had great moves and a great shot. He was a mainstay with the Hawks. He, Pit Martin, and Dennis Hull formed one great line.
