It is currently 11:51pm on Tuesday and I’m watching the last section of the video and it’s making me emotional because, to a degree I’m witnessing my ego die in front of me, I’ve received a huge amount of “No” in the past couple days and it’s creating doubts I never really had before. I’m trying to patient with myself and understand that I am doing my best, and if it was meant for me then it would be. I was awake for 36 hours (I’m in university) prior to passing out for exhaustion and sleeping for an additional 12 hours and I’m trying to take care of myself and this video brought me the peace and comfort I’ve been longing for and for that I am grateful. Thank you.

genuine question that might sound a bit shady, but how do you differentiate your personal taste from things on trend? (The Lichen table, the Togo sofa, the new quiet luxury couch, the Pioneers, Noguchi lamps) like, it's all so beautiful but it's all very now (even if the product itself is from a different era) I think falling victim to trends in the age of content is inevitable, but I've struggled to figure out what my personal taste is vs what I'm responding to because it's trendy. But maybe Miss Vygotsky was correct... through others we become ourselves? I'm just curious if you've had any thoughts on this

There is always a reason on why you find something beautiful. There are so many trends out there but you don't like everyone of them, do you?. It's your niche interest that makes a difference. So yes you are liking what's trendy but you are not doing it blindly.
