Her voice is so ethereal, yet so powerful. Notice how far back she is from the microphone. She almost doesn't need it. You wouldn't believe such beautiful tones could come from one human being.

@@TheWolffAndTheMelody If you want to know how Eivor can sing without a microphone, watch old recordings of church Christmas concerts. These are old amateur recordings, but they are quite impressive. Video titles: Tónleikar í Götu Jólanótt Eivör 2014 í Langholtskirkju The second video is a Christmas song she wrote that was never released.

If you're ready to venture down the Eivor rabbit hole, here's a suggestion: watch "Falling Free", live from the Old Theater in Torshavn. It's an unforgettable performance, possibly the greatest live performance I've ever seen on KZbin...

hello lovely, so happy to see you flashed by her performance! i think all songs of this concert are amazing, it was the release concert for her album "room". her vocal power and breath control is not from this world. from this very concer i love "boxes", her higher register in this is just unbelievable. and in "vøka" she is playing a theremin. there are just a few artists able to play it, and she does it while correcting the position of her microphone. the theremin is an electronic instrument invented 1928 in russia. i hope this was just the beginning of a love story with eivør, there are so many songs waiting for a reaction😊 i'm going to get you on your nerves the next time with more eivør requests, hahaha!

It's quite difficult to describe in words when you feel as if the voice is starting to split you into atoms. I first heard this song in her "True Love" video, and the effect of the music is something like this. It was probably further enhanced by the magnificent video sequence. You can watch it, I think it's her best music video. And another song that sounded also extraordinary to me is Green Garden. On the Eivør KZbin channel you can find her live performance at the same series of concerts (video entitled Eivør - Green Garden. Recorded live September 2012).

I agree that Eivør has one of those voices that enchants and overwhelms you. Another voice that does that for me is Hamed Sinno of Mashrou' Leila; a Lebanese band that was disbanded because of death threats from LGBTQA+ hate. The song that always brings me to tears even though I don't understand the words is "Marrikh (live at AUB assembly hall." Is really all around magical, the voice, the instruments, and the venue.
