My little boy is still alive today. He had it rough, but at the point the choice to live or die came, I chose to keep him alive, no matter what. I take care of him, I nurture him, and I give to him, what he is missing. He still yearns to know the why ?? And I don't have those answers, and I don't think we will ever know why, but I have pieced together all the information I have to paint him the partial picture of the why. This message is poignant. Yes, I am grateful every day that I wake up, because that little boy gets another day to see the world.

I totally relate. I was tormented by my drunken stepfather from 5 to 17. My mother never protected me. At 17 I joined the Army. The Army transformed the anger and hate and transformed me into a man capable of extreme violence. At 27 I was an alcoholic and passively suicidal. I left the Army did a 180 and became a nurse. I met a woman who saved me. She helped me untangle my jumbled up past one string at a time. Now at 58, I'm grateful for life, family, and the gift of life. I love this channel and stories/wisdom that it brings. Thank you.

Kent’s message, and his "presence of being" is so powerful and inspiring it almost takes your breath away. To be grateful for everything; wow, so much easier said than done! But it rings true when Kent says it; doesn’t seem like just words for the camera. So many of us with so much more seem to struggle with finding that gratitude. Kent's a survivor, but he seems to not only have survived, but thrived. He only hints at some of the things he’s gone through to get to the place of joy, acceptance, and gratitude he’s at today. The journey was no doubt tough, but he made it. Makes me think of the quote by Winston Churchill, “when you’re going through hell, keep going.”

Such beautiful wisdom about unburdening from our past traumas! Marshall Vian Summers writes about this process of letting go so that we can give our true gifts to the world. "How can you be angry when the world serves you? When you recognize how much the world is serving you, which can only be recognized in the context of Knowledge, you will then end all of your hatred towards the world [and] all of your condemnation... and resistance to the world. This will confirm your true destiny, your true origin and your true purpose for being in the world. You have come into the world to learn and to unlearn. You have come into the world to recognize what is real and what is not. You have come into the world to be a contributor, [which] is the real nature of your presence here." It all make sense about the leaves and the trees. I talk and sing to my plants every day. I have been taking care of them for more than 14 years. Whenever some leaves die and fall I cry than the new ones bloom and grow even more beautifully. I see my life in them. They teach me hope and patience and things that I could not accept about my past. This man is so fragile but yet so strong 💪. I love his words of wisdom.

Today in the mountains covered with snow I saw a raven sitting on the peak of a dead tree, I stopped and asked it: And what now? Thank you Kent, thank you, not so much for knowing the answer but for shining with it. Sure I will come back to your glow. And thank you Green People behind the scenes. I often wonder: How do you find all of these amazing people and their stories?

I was scrolling procrastinating until I got caught by the first images of this wonderfully crafted interview. Well done for the cat. I watched and listened to the wise man. It helped me get back on tracks to where I wanted to go with my writings. A child with manliness still capable of seeing the Beauty of a flower he'd seen a hundred Times that's who I long to be. Helping myself and others to find and spread peace and love IS my purpose. One thing I'm graceful to Life for today is this video.

Thanks for taking time for bringing me a kind and self-esteem building answer. I'ts aligned with the feeling of connection with my inner self and life mission that descended on me watching the video. A quick overview of your work gave me the impression of discovering a treasure on a "remote isolated island". I will further explore your channel, can't wait to connect with "Slow Living", "Be Creative", "Sois comme l'eau" and of course, "Fais ce que tu aimes". After hitting yet another rock bottom 7 years ago, I decided to change everything I needed to in order to return to the man I thought I should be, the man I knew I could be, and reclaim the goodness and empathy for others I once had as a youth. My journey included countless nights humbling myself to allow the pain and suffering to resurface and feel it, fully, tears and cries and sobs and shaking. Through working with other men and working in isolation reading and workshops, I have learned vulnerability and courage, strength, and reclaimed my life. But I’m not sure how happy I am yet.

Such a beautiful story, and such a beautiful life. A man who has found the courage and wisdom to live his life - to accept, embrace and learn from and within his own being. Remarkable, inspiring, deeply moving. Who amongst us has not had passages of pain and darkness, particularly in our childhoods? Yet, who amongst us has returned to embrace that darkness in order to live in the light, as this gentle, brave man has? His life is a celebration of living, of gratitude, of awareness and presence. Thank you to him for illuminating the hope and living a life of profound and gentle meaning. Thank you to you all, once again, for your incredible ability to capture personal stories in such beautiful, respectful and life-changing ways.
